  1. It might not be the swine flu, but Desmond Reddick sure feels like shit. Luckily a reservoir of content is here to save the day. Darryll and Desmond sit down to discuss the 1980s sci-fi / horror flick Hardware, and Dying in the Gutters returns with a spotlight on CrossGen Comics' Route 666. Tunes included: "Smiling Like a Killer" by Motorhead, "Stigmata" by Ministry, "A Night on Route 666" by Gein and the Graverobbers, and "The Siege and Investiture of Baron Von Frankenstein's Castle at Weisseria" by Mary Shelley Overdrive. 2. It took me a long time to warm up to the idea of Batman: Arkham Asylum. In the months leading to its release the buzz grew and grew, but I did my best to ignore all of it. I guess I just couldn't fathom a game about Batman being worth all the attention. Great games based on superheroes tend to be few and far between, and the screenshots of a gritty, over-muscled Batman didn't exactly pique my interest. But even though I wasn't excited, it seemed like everyone else was. When it was finally released, and the praise for the game kept coming strong, I started to rethink my plans and gave the game a shot.

  3. dreadmedia_114.jpgThis Halloween weekend Desmond Reddick was joined by Davinder and Ian at the Victoria Comic Convention. They talk about celebrity thumb wrestling and zombie walks before Desmond interviews indie film legend Lloyd Kaufman and young indie filmmaker Ryan Nicholson. The Toxic Avenger Musical, H1N1 scares, and nasty revenge are found among other obscene visions in the minds of these madmen. And Lloyd and Ryan are pretty crazy too! Enjoy the following terror tunes: "Walk Among Us" by The Misfits, "Dead Man Walking" by Raging Speedhorn, "Legend of the Toxic Avenger" by the 2009 cast of The Toxic Avenger Musical, "I Did it For Love" by Harlequin, and "Scream on Halloween" by The Browns. Happy Halloween! [ 1:06:19 || 30.5 MB ][ download ] The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/podcasts/dreadmedia/episodes/dreadmedia_114.mp3

  5. In this mishmash, last-minute episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick goes solo on an impromptu Roadkill Review of theatrical indie film Paranormal Activity, then sits down with Darryll to discuss Happy Birthday to Me. Michael David Sims comes back to the show to discuss The Anchor #1 from BOOM! Studios, and Desmond looks at the disturbing but vacant art film American Gothic. All that plus the following terror tunes: "When the Lights Come On" by Deadbolt, "Happy Death Day" by GWAR, "I'm Gonna Kick Your Ass" by The Moistboyz, "Down on the Farm" by Guns N Roses, and "By Demons Be Driven" by Pantera. 6. Puns, puns, and more puns! Campy acting! A useless new superhero! Three butchered supervillains! And the infamous credit card! Oh yes, it's Batman & Robin! Listen as James, Ian, and Mike celebrate the fourth anniversary of Earth-2.net: The Show by lamenting the murdering of the Batman movie franchise, cursing everyone involved with the picture, and suffering head trauma (again)! As an added bonus: singing! [ 3:14:27 || 89.3 MB ][
