    Episode 24

It's episode 24, and Big Damn Heroes is getting mmm-mmm-good. Buffy has an historic, if slightly dumb episode. While over on Angel a character completes her arc, the show comes into its own, a future major player makes an appearance in a rather disjointed episode, and the season endgame starts to boil beneath the surface. Oh, and Buffy has an ongoing season plot. We think. It's hard to tell. Join Hannah and Will as they cover Buffy's "New Moon Rising," and Angel's "Sanctuary," "War Zone," and "Blind Date." Episode 46

In this double (fun) episode of Extra Lives, Aaron and Damien make up for lost time by talking a lot about video games and stuff. The Bioshock playthrough also begins as the guys wonder why they thought two episodes was enough to contain such a girthy experience. That's right, I just used the word "girthy" in the copy for a show. Also: plastic integrity is questioned, piles of shame get bigger, and boxes get organized. 5. Doctor Who: The Movie, an often-overlooked entry in the life of The Doctor, is indicative of its time and network, and it suffers for it. That said, both Dan and Mike agree that Paul McGann is a wonderful Doctor. Eric Roberts' portrayal of The Master, however, they're not so keen on. That may not be his fault, though. Before closing out the episode the guys also look at the comedy sketch "Doctor Who and the Curse of Fatal Death," and the documentary More Than 30 Years in the TARDIS. Episode 243

This weekend Desmond attended Vancouver's first major comic convention: the Vancouver Fan Expo! Bright eyed and bushy-tailed this morning, he provides you with audio from three interviews. First up, he talks to comics legend Len Wein about his astounding career, stand-up comedy, and his upcoming series Before Watchmen: Ozymandias. Then, comic artist and filmmaker Kaare Andrews talks about graphic design, tight shooting locations, and The ABCs of Death. Finally, Jim and Kyle from nerd rock band Kirby Krackle talk about their songwriting process, gender-bending cosplay, and wrestling in mud and jello. The convention playlist is as follows: "All Along the Watchtower" by Jimi Hendrix, "Desolation Row" by My Chemical Romance, "Waydown" by Catherine Wheel, "Up, Up, Down, Down" and "Hunt 'Em All Down" by Kirby Krackle. 8. Damien and Desmond are back in hologram form to introduce themselves to the only record standing between them and Mike Patton: Faith No More's Introduce Yourself. Right off the bat, Desmond has a theory about Chuck that Damien agrees with. What do Wesley Willis and the Kids of Widney High have in common? They're both have better vocals than Chuck Mosley. The band name suggestions are played fast and loose as well as tangents about Fine Young Cannibals and dubstep. Damien makes a very vivid comparison from a song to what a herd of animals might be doing, and Desmond argues with a song. Again. All this and more. Can we have some Mike Patton now, please? Episode 242

Not only was your host unfazed by electricity's attempt to kill him and stop the show, the show happens to be a first! The whole episode is dedicated to one interview. Desmond was so fascinated by Dathan Auerbach's Kickstarter campaign for his upcoming novel Penpal, the two talked for an hour! The true social media story behind the novel is sure to be insightful for those interested in the future of publishing. Then, at the very end of the show, Tom Deja emerges with another first: a Macabre Musical Theatre / review based on the brand new film Cabin in the Woods. All this and tunes to boot! "Kickstart my Heart" by Between the Buried and Me, "Childhood's End" by Iron Maiden, and "Stalker Song" by Danzig. Check out Dathan's Kickstarter page here: http://www.kickstart...53987072/penpal. 22. With but a few exceptions, comic book characters aren't known for capturing the hearts and minds of the entire world. But, nearly 75 years after his debut in Action Comics #1, Superman remains a worldwide icon. Be it the countless DC comic books or the radio show, the Saturday morning cartoons or the timeless movie starring Christopher Reeve, the music inspired by the character or the near-perfect costume, or simply the message of "truth, justice, and the American way," there's something about Superman that has inspired us all. That said, today, to celebrate the 500th episode of Earth-2.net: The Show, we proudly present our tribute to the creation of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster: Superman! 23. With "The Curse of Fenric" and "Survival," the classic era of Doctor Who has come to a close, and so ends a major chapter for Bigger on the Inside. Join Dan and Mike as they discuss what Sylvester McCoy brought to the program and what he was lacking, Ace's impact on viewership and future companions, as well as Anthony Ainley's legacy as The Master and his charm. Before the episode ends, however, the guys also dig into the "Search Out Space" episode from the children's program Search Out Science, and "Dimensions in Time," the Doctor Who / EastEnders crossover.
