  1. Shouldn't this be a poll? No matters... A mod will prolly make it one soon.

Having actually read up on Doomsday, I'm going to have to give it to him.

Hulk could beat down Doomday as many times as he wants, but eventually Doomsday is gonna just come back and stay.

  2. It wouldn't be a fight if they actually went in hand to hand combat, because Kingpin is big, and can fight, but since this wasn't said to be a straight up fight, Lex would probably make only one phone call, and everything else could take care of itself.

I say Lex for this one.

  3. There should be something said about strategic conditions, such as if they've had time to scout each other out, and such.

I'm still pulling for Daredevil, because Batman isn't likely to find out about Matt Murdock's handicap unless by accident.

  4. This question has nothing to do with continuity, and everything to do with the politics of business.

Why did Marvel finally tell Wolverine's origin?

In order that they got to, before one of the X-men movies did it for them.

Off Topic, but: about freaking time...

  5. An obvious topic, but without Stan Lee, a good portion of what Marvel is today wouldn't exist. He is the man who created Spider-Man, the Silver Surfer, the Fantastic Four, and so many other super heroes.

This next portion is from Salon.com

It was important that Lee's heroes lived in the real world, and not in Gotham City or Metropolis, because they were real people. That is, Marvel Comics imagined how real people might act if they suddenly gained superpowers -- confused, conflicted and not necessarily eager for the responsibility. They were a departure from that straight-arrow hero of the Golden Age, Superman. The next age belonged to Marvel. And Stan Lee ushered it in with his creations.

The Marvel Age brought its own sensibility and vernacular, expressed by characters who developed through their adventures instead of merely bouncing over tall buildings in a single bound from one escapade to the next. Marvel's heroes were tragi-bombastic, beset by every variety of psychological affliction, but usually smart-assing their way through it. Lee invented the vocabulary and the attitude of the modern superhero, placing his characters and their complex stories in a vivid, literary landscape. Lee was also a principal architect of the modern comic book, a major signpost in popular culture and one of the great American art forms of the 20th century.

  6. If you've seen the JLA vs the Avengers books, then you know that in one of th books, you have Batman and Captain America face off for a moment, before stopping to team up and take care of other things.

So the question is, who would win in this bout? Batman or Captain America?

    Place: Earth

    Conditions: Normal

  7. LEt's see...

Wolverine: Regeneration, Adamantium skeleton & claws, and the toughest SOB in the history of the Comic Book Multiverse.

Superman: Super-Strength, Super-Speed, Enhanced Hearing, Heat Vision, X-Ray Vision, Flight, virtually Invincible, only known weakness is Kyptonite, and is stripped of powers by exposure to Red light, IE: Red Sun.

Wolverine, because he's never surrender, and if he got some kryptonite, and maybe tip his claws with it, he could take down Superman like nothing. Otherwise, superman could just knock Wolverine out in one punch....
