  1. Love this ish, and I don't even know what 'ish' means.

But seriously, it's gotta be Thor. Not only does he have the physical strength and speed to match Superman, but his magical abilities are enough to finish him. If this were written properly, I'd say that the two have an epic fist-fight in the style of Doomsday/Superman, with Thor finishing SUperman with a mighty blow of his hammer.

Of course, if this were written by DC & Marvel, they'd probably cop out of it by having Superman pretend to knock Thor out, and then the both of them get a hold of Mojo and force him to take them back. Or something really stupid, like have Superman win.

  2. I was critical before seeing the trailor, but the video looks to be far better than Sonic H*****. I'd call it Sonic Adventure 2: Part 2, myself. Nice to know that once again that they've ignored the fact that Shadow should actually be dead.

    "Enter the 'Shadowy' world."

    Okay.

  3. Hell yeah, now this should be good. But why does Tarantino want to do this? it doesn't seem like his kind of movie.

I think he just likes using under-utilised genres. Reservoir Dogs as a heist movie, Pulp Fiction as a I don't know what the fuck this movie is, movie, Jackie Brown as blaxpoitation, and Kill Bill 1/2 for a combo of martial arts and westerns. While the American horror movie is an active genre, when was the last time it truely something special? Scream?

I dunno. I prefered the Casino Royale rumours though.

  4. To be honest, I don't really care. I buy Nintendo consoles for Zelda and Mario, and that's pretty much it. Sure, you do get the occasional great third party game, like Resident Evil 4, and WWF No Mercy......

Fuck this post, I'm off to play No Mercy. I love it like my penis.

  5. For those of you who are interested, this Saturday on a brand-new episode of Justice League Unlimited, Superman is fighting Doomsday. I kinda sorta doubt Supes is going to die, but I can't fucking wait for it.

I thought that other-dimension Superman had already pretty much killed Doomsday in an older season episode. Is this true?

  6. A racing game for the Saturn. Have wantred to try it myself of some time

It absolutely rules. I could play it for days, and days, and days, and days, and days, and a few more days after that. It's far too easy to complete, unfortunately, with only five stages and about ten characters, but it's so bloody addictive. Plus, collecting the emeralds and unlocking Super Sonic is one hell of a rush. Make a sequel!

And I've decided to start posting more over here.

  7. For Superman, you want the late 80-s early 90's stuff. Everything since then is either rubbish, or mediocre bar the Elsewords.

Superman: Exile is a fantastic collection that's a lot of fun, very imaginative, and sets up the scene for many important Superman stories that happen throughout the next ten years from its release.

The Death/Without/Return trilogy is okay. Death Of Superman is almost essential, but World Without A Superman is mindless tosh. The return is suitably epic, and a huge collection.

The Doomsday Wars is an entertaining piece of mindless Superman violence containign his most dangerous foe. Worth reading.

Whatever you do, never ever ever read The Wedding And Beyond because it'll make you want to kill yourself.

My favourite Superman AND Batman book is an Elseworld: The Nail. A JLA adventure wondering what would happen if the Kents had never found Clerk's vessil after getting a nail puncture in their car wheel. Featuring a large cast of characters (THE JOOOOKKER!) great artwork and a great concept, it's my highest reccomendation.

As for solo Batman, the one that springs to my mind is The Cult. If you can get a hold of that you'll be reading the most twisted and downright dark Batman story I've ever read.
