Holy balls. Will Smith? That should be interesting.
Also, Leto as Joker is so perfect it's insane.

The lack of a tablet is entirely the reason why I haven't 100% gotten into digital comics.

So I entered a Power Rangers T-Shirt design contest over at Threadless.com. If it's not too much trouble, I'd really appreciate it if you could rate my design. I think you have to make an account but you can sign in pretty easily via Facebook. I'm not 100% sure if the winner is determined by ratings/votes or by judges, but I figure anything helps. If I win I get $2000 in cash and $1000 in prizes. Which would be awesome. The voting/rating period ends 10 days from today.
Here's the link to my entry, "Pixel Rangers", and here's what it looks like: -
There's a line from Men in Black: A person is smart; people are dumb, panicky and dangerous.
When you have a group of extremely angry people in close physical proximity, you get a mob. Individual morality and intelligence gets temporarily erased. No one really stops to think about whether what they're doing is "helping" because all they're trying to do is let out their frustration.
It's not good, but then again it's a worse thing that caused people to get so angry in the first place.

People are VERY CONCERNED that the imaginary laser-sword's new additions are impractical.
I'm pretty sure everything Jedi do is impractical. But then again, we're dealing with clairvoyant telekinetic swordsmen with thousands of years of martial arts history. So really anything goes.
Did the Millenium falcon just pull a barn swallow?

[Luke Skywalker whine]: But that's a whole 'nother year!

To a degree. I just want a vague, general plot synopsis. Maybe some similarly vague, general character descriptions. I don't want the entirety of the movie spoiled, of course, but I'm okay with knowing what square one is in the new movie before I see it.

Everything is proceeding according tomyGreg Berlanti's design. -
That would make a bit of sense, since there've been leaks and rumors associating him with both the good guys and bad.
The teaser was actually a little underwhelming for me, mostly because we've seen almost literally everything in it already, either through official channels (the X-wings, the Falcon, the desert planet, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley) or leaks (the stormtroopers). The broadsword lightsaber was the only real surprise in it. But that said, it's still nice to see. The shot of the X-Wings water-skimming is pretty epic.
I guess I really just want to know what the hell the plot is and what the characters are doing. I already know that the movie is visually fantastic just from all the photos and talk of practical effects we've seen.

I'm wondering now if Wells might not be
from the future, but rather just have a way to look into the future.Man, it's so great that this show is legitimately keeping us guessing. We already know Reverse Flash's story from the comics but we still don't know exactly what's going on here.
The way Barry treated both Girder and Blackout was really cool. Treating them like people that need help and compassion, not enemies that need punishment.

Everybody take a shot.

From the actual description of the video:
"Awesome! Great tone to this trailer! Now I just can't wait for the real thing!"And it's not even good by fan trailer standards.

Trying to figure out how 1993 CGI look better than this.
It didn't. The animatronic dinosaurs did, but the CG definitely wasn't as perfect as people remember it. This new trailer's CG is miles better than anything in the original.

On one hand, I don't think we need an origin story for Peter Pan. I always interpreted him as more of a spirit than a real boy. But then again, if it is an original story, it could be good. The production values look insanely high at least.
Regarding the generic islander thing: a lot of Pacific islander cultures often do mix together into a "generic" kind of blended culture. I'm from Hawaii, where there's a mix of a couple dozen different islander and asian cultures.

I'm kinda psyched if only because, if the rumors are in any way accurate, we'll finally see footage of the main characters. Which means not only will we see what they look like, but we'll probably also get a press release with character descriptions as well.

Also, Donkey Kong never pretends to be anything but an ape, despite the tie. Donald Duck and Pooh both act mostly like humans.

You can make just about anything into a sport with enough effort.

Actually, he says they budget was cut down by the equivalent of a single episode. So that's, what, an 8% decrease? As TV budget cuts go, that's not terrible.

CAPTAIN BOOMERANG, BITCHES!

Eddie gives Barry an Emperor Palpatine grin as he encourages him to punch harder. I'm feeling more and more sure all the time that he's Reverse Flash instead of Wells.
If Wells is Reverse Flash, it doesn't make a lot of sense, I think, for him to attack Joe only after Joe decided Wells was innocent. Though maybe Wells and Thawne are working together?

One thing a lot of those games have in common is a desperation to ship as early as possible, either to give one console an advantage in the race, to match a movie's release date, or to capitalize on the relatively open market for the new consoles.
Hopefully some of that will settle down next year, both because the consoles will be a year older as well as the fact that there's been so much backlash.

I realize you were making a joke there, but I had that theory as well. That the whole "everything is wonderful and fine and great" thing was only leading to the Hydra revolt. Not that that forgives it being legitimately bad.

Two things. First of all, they did manage to mix live-action and Kingdom Hearts characters pretty well in the TRON: Legacy world in KH3D. Port Royal in KH2 was kind of just a badly-done world all over the place. Secondly, things are pretty different now with KH3 versus KH2 all those years ago. Nomura has talked a lot about the new lighting engine that they developed for KH3, which will change how things are shaded between the different worlds. Kind of like a more organic version of how they completely changed the visual style for the old-timey Mickey Mouse world in KH2. So when you visit a traditional Disney-animated world, it'll look one way, but when the characters visit a live-action world, the KH characters might look more like the higher-res versions of themselves from the pre-rendered cutscenes. They also changed the game engine to Unreal 4 not that long ago, and my theory about that was that Nomura finally got his wish to do a live-action Star Wars world, which would need more realistic lighting.
