RSS
In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick interviews John A. Russo, co-screenwriter of Night of the Living Dead. He also chatted with the guys from VLE Comics, publishers of the awesome miniseries Nightwolf: The Price. Plus: tunes from American Werewolves and Ghoultown. Missy
Another great one, Des! Both interviews were fun and to the point. Too often I hear podcast interviews that drone on and on and on, and by the end of it I've forgotten what the guest was there to speak about. But that wasn't the case here. Plus, I'm now excited to see Russo's movie and read Nightwolf, which was helped by the brevity of the interviews. During the second interview you said you hadn't heard of the Nightwolf TV show until WWC, but I beg to differ. Loved the music, especially the closing song. And that transition from interview to interview made me laugh: Night of the Living Dead > 1968 > American Werewolves > werewolves > Nightwolf. Smooth! One pointer: the difference in volume between yourself and the closing song was very jarring. It made me jump, as a matter of fact. Next time you might want to fade into the music. I actually forgot about that completely. Imagine that. A week, we now know that's how long my short term memory lasts. I was genuinely surprised when they told me. I'm such a dumbass... Thanks for the tips. I'll certainly apply them and try to normalize the levels between vocals and inserted mp3s. It's easier in Audacity than Garageband but GB overall is a cooler program to work with methinks. Thanks for the links in the shownotes. I'll include those next time too. BTW, www.vlecomics.com works for those guys as well. Des PS thanks for the correction on AW's myspace page...Firefox crapped out on me during recording and I made a guess. Wrong!
