Moral of the story: when in doubt, don't be too lazy to walk the ten feet into the guest bedroom and pull out a back issue. As for his artwork, to each his own. I can see what many readers would like about it, but in my book it doesn't hold a torch to his previous work. I get what he's going for with the looser style, it just isn't working for me and rather than drawing me further into the motion of the moment it's taking me completely out of the issue.
