Missy Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 Variety is reporting that John Woo will direct the upcoming He-Man adaptation scripted by Adam Rifkin. The film will be based around the last incarnation of the cartoon rather than the original show. Quote
Missy Posted January 3, 2005 Author Report Posted January 3, 2005 Current rumors put Ryan Kwanten (Summerland), Jason Lewis (Sex and the City) and The Rock as forerunners to play He-Man. Quote
MaxPower Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 None of those guys really appeal to me, at all!! I also read that John Glover (Lionel Luther) was frontrunner to be Skeletor? Quote
Missy Posted February 3, 2006 Author Report Posted February 3, 2006 I also read that John Glover (Lionel Luther) was frontrunner to be Skeletor? Yeah, that's the current rumor. Quote
JackFetch Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Writer Adam Rifkin talked to Moviehole about the new He-Man and the Masters of the Universe movie that was recently let go by Fox 2000 and is now back at Mattel. Rifkin says "Legally I'm not allowed to say much concerning HE-MAN, however I can say this: HE-MAN is a movie that's definitely going to be made! Where and with whom are all pretty top secret at present, but when the shroud of mystery is finally lifted I can promise you, HE-MAN fans will not be disappointed." "Like UNDERDOG, HE-MAN was a cartoon I liked watching when I was younger. It's been really neat getting to be involved with so many of the big screen versions of properties I loved when I was a kid." http://www.moviehole.net/news/20070319_ask...kins_answe.html Quote
