RSS
As it goes, the guys reviewed four comic books this week: Amazing Spider-Man #590, Dead Romeo #1, Destroyer #1 and The Flash: Rebirth #1. Missy
Great work, guys. I especially enjoyed your review of Destroyer, Preston.
Dread
Great job fellas. Destroyer sounds interesting to me for reasons only Mike will know and I only have one comment on the Flash: Rebirth review. I haven't read the book but it should be noted that this is not intended as an event and has not even been treated as one from marketing so let's not get on that bandwagon just yet. The book's intention is to re-introduce the character into the DCU with a fresh approach and an eventual increase in popularity to create another DC icon like Johns and Van Sciver did with GL. The idea is to eventually have a Flash-centric event in the coming years.
SuaveStar
Good work guys. So DC want Johns to do what he did to GL and the JSA and whatever else he touches that does involve the title crisis.
Venneh
Great job, guys. I'm especially interested in Destroyer, going to see if I can find it at Powerhouse next week. Also, drq, you nailed what Flash: Rebirth is for me. I don't know a lot about Barry, except for what I've seen in New Frontier, and I like that they're using other characters to flesh him out and introduce him to those of us who don't know crap about him. Definitely going to pick up the next issue, whenever it comes out.
SuaveStar
Definitely going to pick up the next issue, whenever it comes out. May 6th. I plan the shit I'm buying from DC months in advance, it saves me from buying crap I don't want and saves time and money in the long term. That's good criticism. Although I used the word twice, I wasn't exactly expecting an event from this issue. I was more bemoaning the fact that there's almost no action whatsoever, which is especially weird for a double-sized superhero book. Reading back over it, I can see how you got that impression from the review.
