Koete
Best known for his work on the Golden Age Hawkman and as a ghost artist for Bob Kane on the Batman comics during the 1950s and 60s, Sheldon Moldoff has passed away at the age of 91. As my favorite era of Batman comics is the pre-New Look era from 1950-1963, this is a comic creator passing that has hit me particularly hard. Besides the thousands of Batman pages he drew, Sheldon Moldoff co-created Poison Ivy, Mr. Zero (Mr. Freeze), Matt Hagen, the original Batgirl, Ace the Bat-Hound, and, of course, Bat-Mite. His name isn't mentioned often when Batman is discussed, but it deserves to be. Rest in peace, Mr. Moldoff.
