SuaveStar
So buying trades for the art, have you ever done that? What about single issues? Why? What was the book? Who was the artist? In the end, was it worth it?
Missy
The first book that comes to mind is the four-issue Sabretooth miniseries from 1993. I bought that for Mark Texeira's artwork, and, thankfully, the story was pretty damn good. Haven't read it in about 10 years, so I can't say if it holds up story wise, but I know the art is still beautiful!
Guest
Pretty much anything Zenescope does, though honestly, the stories are pretty good most of the time.
Koete
I bought the black and white variant to Captain America #601 for Gene Colan's pencil artwork and I'll be buying the Batwoman hardcover for J.H. Williams III's art.
Molly
Wizard of Oz, this fall. Skottie Young is totally worth it.
Dread
All I can think of is anything Mignola has done since leaving Hellboy regularly. Bernie Wrightson and Gene Colan. Of course, Kirby. Mignola and Cassaday are probably the only guys born after WW2 that qualify for me.
Molly
I'll sign on to Mignola. Allred and Jim Lee, too. And Alex Ross. He was the only reason I even looked at any of "Justice".
