Can I give Post of the Day to something that was said offline by a non-forum member?
  2. Saw Watchmen for a second time. Though I liked it the first time, I wasn't sure how much I enjoyed it. Having seen it once more, I can safely say I love it.
  3. I have another week to decide, but I think my final order will be: Avengers Forever hardcover Hitman: A Rage in Arkham Previews X-Force: Old Ghosts hardcover X-Men: Magneto Testament hardcover

I didn't find it that funny.
  5. That's been a theory / rumor for a long time.
  6. Ooooh! That's a great point!
  7. About 30 minutes were lost. Normally I cut 15 minutes from any given WFP, so an extra 15 minutes isn't all that bad. Because it was my track that was littered with "fist in mouth syndrome," little comments by me were lost. The only thing that I was really sad to see go was what I said about Joker stabbing Batman in the leg. It's my belief that Joker's attack on Bruce is why he now uses a cane. If you think about it, Bruce's cane is held in his right hand, which means it's his left leg that's weaker. Of course, Bruce was stabbed in that leg. As James pointed out in the now-lost audio, why didn't Bruce have a limp at the beginning of Rebirth? To that I said something like, "Because he had it repaired. However, it was still weak, and over time the injury began to give him problems, hence the cane."
  8. Bestowed with limited psychic powers and X-ray vision, Tommy Monaghan is a hitman living in Gotham City. He runs afoul of mobsters, demons, superheroes and soldiers. Despite the humor seen throughout the series, it's actually a very dark and serious book. It's also one of Ennis' strongest runs.
  9. I have an extra $20 to spend this month at DCBS. Someone suggest a few trade paperbacks or hardcovers.
  10. HA! I forgot about that. But really, The Mechanic has an average score of 3.25, where as The Terrible Trio averages at 0. Also, Mean Seasons comes in at a 1.0. There are even more that are lower than The Mechanic, too.

    Post of the day!
  13. Sorry if the audio is slightly wonky in places. I cleaned it up as best I could.
  14. Rocky V did happen. If it hadn't, why would he be living in Philly? As it pertains to his brain damage, according to Wiki:
  15. Don't get me wrong, I love the Rocky franchise. It might be the best movie series ever. However, on paper it had me worried. A film about Rocky coming out of retirement to fight the reigning young star wasn't a wholly original plot. His rocky (no pun intended) relationship with Robert wasn't anything new. And Talia Shire's refusal to return removed a major element from the series. Despite that, Stallone turned the cliches on their head and made Adrian's death work for the film. What could have been a cash grab was a very emotional, loving finale to the series.
  16. Rocky Balboa was better than it had any right to be.
  17. If possible, I'd try to get it posted Friday or Saturday. I'm still working on the show now, so there's a chance it could hit today. The problems are bad, but not as bad as I feared.
  18. What I've dubbed "fist in mouth syndrome." My audio track drops to a mumble sometimes. Usually I can edit out the corrupted parts, but this time it's a lot harder.
  19. Update: The problems are worse than I thought, and the entire show might have to be rerecorded. If that's the case, it won't air at all today. More later.
  20. World's Finest Podcast 49 will be delayed. You will still get it today, just not until this evening.
  21. Stavros on Daredevil's shitty life:
  22. Was that a MAX book? I thought it was a Marvel Knights title.
