  1. Images: Replaced the "new post/no new post" (red/yellow, grey) E2 images from the front page with similarly colored spheres.

Skins: Working a bug out of a skin. When/If that's fixed, it will be posted.

Skins: Still looking for new skins.

  2. This is just meant to be a fun little poll to see who prefers which company and why. (No griping that Image, Dark Horse, or your favorite indy company isn't on here. This is just about the Big Two.)

Me, I've always been a Marvel kid. Sure, DC has some big guns in Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and the JLA, but they're all too god-like -- untouchable. Whereas Marvel's characters are always down to earth and flawed. It's much easier to relate to a kid with homework and girl problems than an alien with a great job and hot girlfriend.

  3. If this comes down to them trading blows (which it wouldn't), then Fisk walks away with Luthor's hide and Metropolis as his new empire. And Luthor knows this -- so he's going to put a call into every major/local police department, the local chapter of the FBI, any nearby military base, as well as hire every super-powered criminal within this domed city. Having all that at his disposal, Fisk cannot win.

  4. Why aren't they're more GC games online, like Mario Kart: Double Dash?! I know of the whole Warp Pipe thing using the machine's LAN capabilities, but that's crap. Nintendo should create a network a la PS2 Online or Xbox Live.

  5. Not sure I understand the question this topic presents. You say favorite comic book story ever, and I start thinking graphic novels, but everyone else seems to just be thinking in terms of story arcs in ongoing series.

A graphic novel and/or TPB is generally one story, so those count.

Out of curiosity, Yoda, I'd gladly hear about your Top Ten comic book stories of all time. Hell, I've been trying to make that list for a long time now, and just can't put them in order...

I've been trying to make that list for a long time myself, and it's always changing.

  6. Bale proved he can sound "American" in American Pshyco and Murphy's sounded perfectly British in 28 Days Later, so maybe he can pull off an American accent too.

Screw the detractors, this is a solid cast for this era in Batman's life -- except Holmes.

  7. At the ripe old age of thirty-one... Kal-El... is still unmarried. Almost certainly he is still a virgin. This is a serious matter. The species itself is in danger!

But he is married now, so he's had to have sex with Lois at some point. Hell! They've shown them naked in bed together. I don't think they could have kids, but if he can touch Lois and other people, he can certainly be gentle enough to have sex with here. Heck! Maybe not -- maybe Lois likes it rough. ;)

  8. Bruce Wayne/Batman: Christian Bale

    Alfred Pennyworth: Michael Caine

    Lucius Fox: Morgan Freeman

    Rachel: Katie Holmes

    Dr. Jonathan Crane: Cillian Murphy

    Henri Ducard: Liam Neeson

    Ra's Al Ghul: Ken Watanabe

For the most part this cast is freakin rules, now let's just hope the script isn't a steaming pile of crap.

My only problem with the cast is Katie Holmes playing some made-up childhood friend/love interest. With Talia, Ra's Al Ghul's daughter, they have built-in tension because she is pretty much the only woman Bruce has ever really loved but she's the daughter of a would be world conqueror/destroyer/crazy environmentalist. That's some great stuff right there, but instead of going with that angle, they make-up some stupid part to bring in the teen crowd. BS!

  9. Yeah, assuming once Supes knew one of them had to go down (and thus wouldn't mind obliterating Logan), he'd just fire him up with the heat vision and it'd be the end of the story. You can't regenerate if there's nothing left.

    drq

But remember, Supes won't kill. He might burn the shit out of Logan, but he'd let him live. And the problem with that is, if Logan gets hurt/pissed enough he's gonna heal up and come after you again and again until he's won.

  10. I think someone would've mentioned it back in that other thread about what systems they own, so I highly doubt anyone else does.

Figured maybe they were too embarrassed to mention it in there, s'why I called them out in here. :D

  11. Go to your local Gamestop and see if they have it. I dunno if you'd be willing to buy Mario/Duck Hunt, but if you care then they usually have old NES games on sale that were sold by other people. Hell, that's how I got the original Zelda.

-edit- Completely forgot you'd need the gun.... nevermind. <_<

They might sell the gun too. In fact, I'm going Tuesday to pick-up a copy of The Suffering -- maybe I'll check to see if they have the gun and DH.
