If it was Daria, I would be excited. However, I never liked Beavis and Butt-head so this means less than nothing to me.
My exact reaction when I first heard the news: "They can bring back Beavis and Butt-head, but not Daria?"
Haha, so yea, glad to see I'm not the only one.

When I saw Isaacs name I couldn't help but grin. I know he's done voice work in the past, but whenever I hear about it, I keep imagining Lucius Malfoy in the recording booth. XD

Cool, about the DC Showcase compilation. Maybe they'll throw in commentary? I miss those.

Hm, I think it'll be better than Public Enemies, because Lauren Montgomery is co-directing it. And with the exception of Superman: Doomsday, I've liked all her work.
I did not know that. Cool that she's getting the chance to return to the Amazons (if they keep them in it), but I do think this suffers from similar problems to Public Enemies, like character models not built exclusively for animation (they do look clunky). Plus there's no getting away from the essential lightweight nature of the story itself. Total popcorn is fine if that's your thing, but DC's done so much more in recent years.
Whoops! One adjustment, she's directing it, not co-directing.
Hm... I'm afraid I don't know much about the story itself except what I've read here and there (which is actually a lot.)
And oh yea! about her returning to the amazons. Did not even think about that.
I think this is them in the background?
EDIT*
Superherohype's forums has a lot of screenshots. I'm diggin' Bat's design for the most part, I like the symbol and his long ears.

I had no idea where to this post this, but I think it's both awesome and hilarious. (Mostly for the names.)
Apparently the Department of Defense has started two new super soldier type projects named "BaTMAN" (Biochronicity and Temporal Mechanisms Arising in Nature) and RoBIN (Robustness of Biologically-Inspired Networks).
Biochronicity and Temporal Mechanisms Arising in Nature (BaTMAN) could develop an understanding of the relationship between biological systems and the spatial-temporal universe through the application of advanced principles from the physical sciences. [...] Topic areas that may be of interest include, but are not limited to: quantum biology and molecular clocks; resetting and synchronization of biological clocks and rhythms; microscale recapitulation in macroscale; evolutionary pressure and time; physiological signal processing and clocks; timing and cognition; and robustness of clocks in development.Robustness of Biologically-Inspired Networks (RoBIN), seeks to apply the critical control features of biological networks to build unique models for adaptable networks, and create a dynamic biologically-inspired network of scientists and other experts for crisis response and complex decision support. Topic areas that may be of interest include, but are not limited to: exploring collective behavior and recruitment, counter deception, modularity in networks and biology, models of robustness, recruitment of expertise, synthetic immune surveillance, model and design of robust biological networks, self-organized complexity across scales, and robust adaptive response systems.

Just thought this was a neat little thing to share from Mugglenet.com
"The Magic Begins."
"It All Ends Here."
Hahahaha, how morbidly funny.

Those horns are the most obnoxious shit ever.

4-0 Germany v. Argentina.
Lol, I kept deriving amusement from the commentator. "We were expecting a game, but Argentina isn't making it one." "Germany is putting Argentina in it's place... on a plane back home." I was like, Yo, hahaha, is he allowed to say that?
Good times.

I missed the Uruguay / Ghana match. What happened?
Basically the best game ever (so far at least.) Uruguay played pretty dirty (imho), and there was all this psychological BS, and tension! Ooh, the tension nearly killed me toward the end. And you think one thing's about to happen- BUT NO. They completely swerve you with another thing!
It was kinda like watching a drama.

Meh, not loving the way this looks. Overall the style looks kinda... generic? I dunno, it just seems like there's a distict lack of... good textures? Why does everything looks so spotless? Personally I like the way Despicable Me looks (another Super Villan feature.) But the trailer made me chuckle, so I'm willing to give it a shot. Kinda seems like how Monsters Vs. Aliens was a fun popcorn flick.
-
Gonna check it out next week along with "Despicable Me." I'm hoping the latter will make up for any potential fury I'll feel about Airbender.
-
Anyway... Yes, this trailer looks awesome. I'm really looking forward to it, I've loved what David Yates has done with the movies. Up until movie 5 I've sort of resented them, but Yates has made them a seperate entity entirely instead of a direct adaptation of the series. And I think that's the way to go with these. Because seriously, you just cannot cram everything in the books into films. The fans that ask for that are ridiculous. And since he's taken over I think the kids' acting have improved by leaps and bounds. ESPECIALLY in HBP! Emma Watson actually didn't make me want to slam an ax into her skull! Ah David Yates ♥.

The Ad sheet w/ more images from Apocalypse. Haha, I'm surprised by how much they're alreading PRing this. They usually wait until after the latest DTV has been released.
And here's some info for Region 2 fans. 10 Disc collection that includes:
• Superman Doomsday
• Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
• Batman: Gotham Knight
• Wonder Woman
• Superman: The Last Son of Krypton
• Batman: The Animated Series, volumes 1-4
• Batman: The Mystery of the Batwoman
DC Comics 75th Anniversary Collection
It's coming out July 12, 2010 and going for £16.85 that's only $25.15! What the heck, when does the US get something like this? Well, I mean, I guess since it's all been released seperately over here we don't really need it, but it would be nice to have the option.
-
If they can sucessfully adapt the style of Year One, that would be amazing. I love the noirish color scheme and the thick inks.
-
Yea, I agree! I like the way it looks too.
-
I'm excited to see how they adapt Michael Turner's art. It's really different from everything else they've done thus far.
I kind of assumed this is what the style is gonna look like:
I don't recognize that image from anywhere else, the only other time we see supergirl is in the DCAU, and that's definitly not from Justice League Unlimited... Unless I'm forgetting something else?
-
I'm glad I was able to find this episode! For the life of me I couldn't find it (for some odd reason.) It's not linked on the WFP page, so... you know... just a suggestion.

New Releases were announced for release in July: A 3 Disc release of The Space Museum and The Chase and 1-Disc releases of The Time Monster, Underworld, and The Horns of Nimon. The Last three had been released in a box set already but they're going with some individual releases as well.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to include them when they become available on Amazon.
-
Thanks for the list, Yazzy. And welcome to the forums!
Thank you! I decided to finally join and maybe contribute a bit. Love Bigger on the Inside and World's Finest.

Hey guys, for anyone whose interested here's a list of all the Region 1 Doctor Who DVD releases on Amazon. I didn't find anything like this at tardis.wikia.com, and the doctor-who-collectors.wikia was pretty... confusing in my opinion.
I've put them all in Guides which is limited to 50 products per page, so they're divided into four sections.
The Fourth Doctor's episodes are all actually linked even if the DVDs haven't been released yet. I update the lists every now and then so they're all up to date. Hoped this helps some people out.

I am so ridiculously excited for this! Also, Toph could totally be alive and be one of those totally kick ass old people Avatar is so good at making! Aaaah, so excited! Maybe we'll even see what happened with Zuko's mom. I'm totally diggin that the new Avatar is a girl. We need more female lead characters in shows. (Plus Korra is a different ethnicity!) The last one I remember was The Life and Times of Juniper Lee which ended in 2007.
btw, here's the attached pic:
(*edit: Holy crap Juniper Lee was created by Judd Winick! Which is like... totally irrelevent to this thread, but I totally did not realise.)
