What's MARSOC for us civilian types?
United States Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command(MARSOC) is a component command of the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) that comprises the Marine Corps' contribution to SOCOM. Its core capabilities are direct action, special reconnaissance and foreign internal defense. MARSOC has also been directed to conduct counter-terrorism, information operations, and unconventional warfare. That's the textbook definition, but basically it's the classified secret part of the marine corps that people know exists but no one is sure what they do. Even the entrance tests are classified so I'm not even sure what the indoc is going to consist of, although I have some general ideas.
fighting wars before they happen is the MARSOC motto, so hopefully I get to do some great stuff, if i make it, that is.

Got approved for MARSOC today. I'm fucking stoked, this is one of the reasons I joined the military. Now I just got to beat myself into the best shape I've ever been in in my life, and hopefully pass the indoc.

I have like 3000 MS points on my 360.
900 from having to buy points to download wolfenstein, and 2100 from a christmas present from one of my friends.
So, can anyone recommend a good platform game for XBLA? I have Castle Crashers so anything that's like that would be awesome. Also, it would be mostly single player, as I don't play online much anymore.

i love the fact that I got told today that there still isn't any word on when we head back to America, however we were told that our base is so full at the moment, that whenever we do go back home there's nowhere for us to live.

see it in a theater if you can, the dvd release has all kinds of fucked up mistakes in the subtitiles.

This news has been around for awhile, the rights for a remake were sold before it was even in theaters. Personnally, the original was amazing, and I'm a huge fan of both the book and movie, so I'm abit apprehensive about this. Although I'm curious to see how much of the book they use, such as the more disturbing parts left out of the swedish movie.

Simply put, an amazing game. Probably,my favorite PS2 game ever. As long as you have the patience for it, it is an engrossing game, but I can understand how the pace may put some people off.
I'm the one and only person on this board that actually prefers DQ to FF.

thanks, the funny thing is i want to go to Afganistan, shit's hot over there, and i live for that stuff. I was just hoping for more down time in between. Plus I really don't want to go back to Iraq, it's boring there now.

fuck, the next year and a half is going to wear me the fuck out. 8 months in Iraq, home in America for only 4-5 months, then straight to Afganistan for 8-10 months.
