  1. In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick welcomes author Jeff Jacobson to the show to talk about being the weird kid in high school, heavy metal, and, of course, his novels. And Desmond reviews the Book of Lore / Grave Mistakes Horror Double Feature solo, except for one surprise guest. Then he ends the show with the world podcast debut of Mary Shelley Overdrive's new song! The tunes this week: "The Huntmaster" by Alestorm, "Execution Tank" by 3 Inches of Blood, "Eat Me Alive" by Judas Priest, and "Belladonna" by Mary Shelley Overdrive. 2. After the TARDIS suffers a power loss, The Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith are trapped on an alien world with savages, Daleks, and a living city ("Death to the Daleks"). Then The Doctor returns to Peladon, where he uncovers a conspiracy while mediating a dispute between the ruling and working classes ("The Monster of Peladon"). [ 48:12 || 22.1 MB ]

  3. In this edition of Extra Lives, Aaron and Damien discuss the finer things in the life, like sweet alien love, 8-bit racism, triangular boobs, and punching giant cranes in the face. You know, the usual. They also continue their coverage of the polarizing God Hand. Is spanking an effective form of self-defense? Is a gorilla suit really required to master the art of lucha libre? Where did the midgets come from? And did Damien just say that he liked the game?! The answers to all that and more are just a click away! [ 1:40:24 || 46.2 MB ]

  4. Cyborg infiltrates the HIVE Academy, and nearly loses himself ("Deception"). Red X reappears, but it's not Robin ("X"). Starfire finds herself engaged, but her friends uncover the truth behind her wedding ("Betrothed"). Beast Boy accidentally infects Cyborg with a virus, and the Titans enlist Gizmo to save the day ("Crash"). Slade visits Robin, but is he flesh and bone or something else entirely ("Haunted")? And Raven falls in love, but quickly learns he's not what he seems ("Spellbound"). [ 1:24:21 || 38.6 MB ]

  5. In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond and Darryll are impressed if not a little confused by Uncle Sam, and then Desmond is just plain unimpressed with ROT: Reunion of Terror. Then Desmond is totally impressed with The Calling: Cthulhu Chronicles #1. Plus, feedback and impressive songs: "Son of Sam" by The Dead Boys, "4th of July" by Soundgarden, "Rot For Me" by Wednesday 13, "Cthulhu" by Zombeast, and "I'll Finish You Off" by The Melvins. 6. In this episode of Married to Movies, Megan and Desmond kick off a two-fer of episodes, taking a look at the films of Humphrey Bogart and Audrey Hepburn. The Maltese Falcon and Breakfast at Tiffany's are up first. What happens in this episode? Megan and Desmond actually agree on things! Desmond even lets her talk a couple times! Megan takes offense to Desmond offending Peter Lorre. The best movies to make out to are the long ones. When Megan tells us why she doesn't like black and white films you will be blown away. The hosts puzzle over Audrey Hepburn's origins, and have an interesting conversation about America in the early 1960s. Also, how bad is the racism in this movie? Real bad. All this and more! 7. It's another look at some Troma films this week as Desmond and Darryll tangent off into sleaziness and your host's resemblance to Burt Reynolds while reviewing the Blu-ray edition of Class of Nuke 'Em High. Then Desmond tries to see the good in Bigfoot. Plus, there's lots of beer. And songs! "Nuke 'Em High Theme" by Biohazard (not that Biohazard), "Radiation Day" by Monster Magnet, "Missing Link" by Dinosaur Jr. and Del tha Funkee Homosapien, and "Six Pack of Beer" by Hank Williams III all get spins of the terror playlist this week. 8. Treasure had a lot to live up to with the sequel to Sin and Punishment. For various reasons, the original was initially a Japan-only release, but it still managed to gain quite a cult following in the West. It's one of the few Japan-only games to be released to the rest of the world via Virtual Console, largely thanks to that following, and it's not hard to see why; Sin and Punishment is a fun, fast-paced rail shooter that's filled with crazy, inventive set pieces. With the sequel coming a full 10 years later, on hardware that's a little more befitting the genre, there's a lot more potential for something truly awe-inspiring.

  9. Extra Lives has gone official! In this first episode, Aaron and Damien have no shortage of things to disagree on, least of which being the featured God Hand. The guys also come away from Alan Wake with wildly differing opinions, but still find the time to shine a flashlight on their souls. The emotional roller coaster doesn't stop there, as other topics include the villainous potential of Kirby, the upsides of loneliness, the inherent boredom found in German suplexing robots, and gasp only 10 seconds of Street Fighter talk. 10. In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond and Darryll pore over the amazing Canadian zombie film Pontypool. Then Desmond checks out Bitch Slap and debates the merit of T&A. And finally, a track-by-track review of the newest offering from Danzig: Deth Red Sabaoth. All this, plus tunes: "It's Only the End of the World" by Harley Poe, "Radio" by Alkaline Trio, "Bitchin'" by The Donnas, "Rebel Spirits" by Danzig, and "When the Radio Goes Dead" by Shooter Jennings and Hierophant. 11. In the final installment of Wedding Month, Desmond and Megan laugh their way through 2009's The Hangover, and are puzzled throughout by 2007's Margot at the Wedding. Which movie prompts Megan to talk about the bride's dress and hair? How badly does Desmond fail to come up with an analogy for a poorly titled movie? How does Desmond give Megan issues? And just how much better are Desmond's picks this month? Also, the hosts reveal the film line-up for at least the next two episodes! Listen to find out. [ 51:41 || 23.9 MB ]

  12. After three years, Kellen, Randy, and Steph finally finish the Sailor Moon retrospective Was My Childhood a Lie? with their review of the final season: Sailor Stars. Steph and Kellen each put in candidates for Rant of the Year, and the trio discusses why the series has never officially seen the light of day in North America. [ 1:32:05 || 42.5 MB ]

  13. Closing out the 10th season, the Daleks invade a planet to learn the secrets of invisibility ("Planet of the Daleks"), and, back on Earth, mutated maggots overrun a small town ("The Green Death"). Also, Jo makes her exit from the program. Did the hosts finally come to admire the companion they've been rather cold on? Click it to find out! [ 1:04:40 || 29.6 MB ]

  14. In this Spaghetti Western special, Desmond and Darryll take a look at two very different films in the Django legacy: the original badass Django on Blu-ray, and the bizarre and puzzling Takashi Miike film Sukiyaki Western Django. Trust me, this one's fun. Of course, suitable songs are played as always: "Django" by Luis Bacalov, "Django" by Rancid, "Japanese Cowboy" by Ween, and "Carry the Coffin" by Ghoultown. So go ahead, draw first. I dare you! [ 1:09:29 || 32.0 MB ]
