1. Greetings Earthlets, and welcome to the first bumper-sized edition of Shot Glass of Rocket Fuel, my new 2000 AD review series. For those of you who aren't familiar with 2000 AD, it's a sci-fi anthology title created in 1977, back when the year 2000 seemed like a long way off and a children's anthology title wasn't expected to last quite that long.

 2. This week, Big Damn Heroes has managed to hit 37 episodes, and, with it, the second season of Angel is finally over. This may be one of the shorter episodes in BDH history too, because Will and Hannah just don't have much to say. But at least they will do the dance of joy! Join them as they cover "Belonging," "Over the Rainbow," "Through the Looking Glass," and "There's No Place Like Plrtz Glrb." (Good luck pronouncing that one, kids.) [ 54:34 || 26.5 MB ]

 3. We reap what we sow this week on a Dread Media Harvest Special! First up, Desmond is joined by Duane to discuss the crime flick cum slasher film Rites of Spring. Then Jeff and Luke are back to talk about the classic 80s TV movie Dark Night of the Scarecrow. Songs put through the thresher: "The Dragonfly" by Clutch, "Spring Fever" by Ghostkeeper, "Scarecrow Man" by The Misfits, and "I Am The Reaper" by Moistboyz. It's a good thing. 4. It's a meta Halloween special! Duane and Desmond sit down to chat about The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror Halloween specials in a huge Dread Media Halloween Spooktacular! And what else could be special about this episode? How about Darryll coming back? Oh yeah, baby! Darryll's back to discuss theatre-going etiquette, and how to treat a young lady at the movies. Also, they talk about the Ethan Hawke vehicle Sinister. Strap in for 90-odd minutes of Halloween fun! There's even a few songs: "Do the Bartman" by Bart Simpson, "The Simpsons Theme" by Green Day, and "Sinister Rouge" by Bad Religion. [ 1:37:18 || 46.9 MB ]

 5. To paraphrase a wise old wizard: "I felt a great disturbance in the Whoniverse, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and never shut up." Yup, today Dan and Mike discuss the departure of the special snowflake that is Rose Tyler. How does she stack up against other companions, and can the actress be separated from the character? As for the episodes, there's "Fear Her," which is aneurysm-inducing, and "Army of Ghosts" / "Doomsday," which ends the season and brings the Daleks back as badasses! [ 1:48:34 || 52.4 MB ]

 6. Though they've recorded over 100 podcasts together, all centered on comic book media, Mike and James have never actually reviewed comic books. But that changes today when Earth-2.net: The Show crosses over with Tranquil Tirades! Why have these two men come together, and what common ground could The Show share with The Tirades? That's easy. They're here to discuss Avengers vs. X-Men #7-12! [ 1:25:33 || 41.6 MB ]

 7. It's episode 36, and the end of the fifth season has arrived on Buffy. And everything is just so jam-packed that we fit the rest of the season into this episode! Will and Hannah may have some disagreements on which of the episodes is the least awesome, but the general consensus is that Glory owns, it sucks to be Ben and Dawn, and that this totally makes sense as a series ender (hint: it wasn't). Also, demonic Joel Grey will fuck your shit up. Join Hannah and Will as they swan dive into "Tough Love," "Spiral," "Weight of the World," and "The Gift." [ 1:16:27 || 37.0 MB ]

 8. We're still undead with only a week to go 'til All Hallows Eve! This week Desmond, Jeff, and Luke cover the third film in the Spanish found-footage zombie trilogy: [REC]3 Genesis. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. steps in to take a look at the late Bill Hinzman's pseudo remake of the zombie film that started it all: Flesh Eater. Desmond is back to go solo reviewing the Complete Hammer House of Horror from Synapse Films! Stick around for feedback, and to find out who won Wayne Simmons' audiobook of Flu! Also, there's songs! "Land of Confusion" by In Flames, "Die My Bride" by The Murderdolls, "Re: Your Brains" by Jonathan Coulton, "I Got to Put the Hammer Down" by Ween, and "Get Sick" by Suicidal Tendencies. 9. The Host Club befriends the heir of a mob family ("Mori-senpai Has an Apprentice Candidate!") who falls in love with Haruhi ("Tamaki's Unwitting Depression!"). We see the beginning of the Tamaki / Kyouya friendship ("And so Kyoya Met Him!"), and the Host Club faces dissolution ("The Host Club Declares Dissolution!") only to survive to see another day ("This is Our Ouran Fair!"). In addition, Kellen and Will discuss their overall feelings on the show, and get into a lengthy discussion about a certain NBC comedy. [ 1:52:20 || 54.1 MB ]

 10. Like foreign films? Genre mashups? The undead? Man! You're going to love this episode's theme of foreign undead genre mashups! First up, author Jeff Strand joins us to talk about the Cuban zomcom Juan of the Dead. Then, in a brand new Stay Scary, Devil Dinosaur Jr. reviews the Hong Kong vamp-action movie Vampire Effect. And there's even a new contest to win one of two audiobooks of Wayne Simmons' Flu! There's even songs! "Government Flu" by Dead Kennedys, "My Way" by Sid Vicious, "We Bite" by The Misfits, and "Open Coffins" by Down. [ 1:11:40 || 34.6 MB ]

 11. While trapped in the grasp of a black hole, The Doctor is forced to come face-to-face with what just might be The Devil ("The Impossible Planet" / "The Satan Pit").Then, a child won a contest to get his monster on Doctor Who, so RTD thought it would be funny to make a man-gets-head-from-a-block-of-concrete joke in that episode ("Love & Monsters"). Classy. Also, the guys feel fabulous after getting glitter-bombed via e-mail. [ 1:24:52 || 41.0 MB ]

 12. It's Big Damn Heroes episode 35, and things are getting good. Over on Buffy, there's some major character development, plenty of heart-wrenching aftermaths, and some good old fashioned torture. And on Angel, they're not entirely sure what they're doing, really, but hey, Lindsey's hot. Also, this episode gives Will and Hannah the unprecedented opportunity to lech it up. Join them as they perv over Buffy's "Forever" and "Intervention," and Angel's "Disharmony" and "Dead End." [ 1:04:53 || 31.5 MB ]

 13. Ian and Dave begin the final leg of their Blake's 7 journey as they enter series four. In "Rescue," the crew are, well, rescued by the mysterious Dorian who has a lot of cool stuff that they would find really useful if only he would turn out to be insane and then drop dead. In "Power," the crew have to figure out how to help themselves to all of Dorian's cool stuff after he turned out to be insane and then dropped dead. Plus, they encounter a repurposed Doctor Who monster and a dancing judge, get introduced to a new regular character and then debate where the hell she vanishes to in her second episode. 14. Hello, and welcome to Dread Media 3.0. This episode sees Desmond introducing you, the listener, to a gaggle of new cohosts the only way he knows how: by reviewing movies with them. First up, Desmond is joined by Duane to take a look at the Blu-ray releases of Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers. And, after doing two movies with one cohost, Desmond is joined by two cohosts to do one movie. Jeff and Luke are here to discuss Nazis on the moon in the brand new Iron Sky! All this, and a whack of feedback! Tunes: "Michael Myers" by The Meteors, "New Super Hero Worship" by 24-7 Spyz, "Feuer Frei!" by Rammstein, and "October" by Gray Matter. [ 1:37:43 || 47.1 MB ]
