1. Beyond a few minutes of dental trauma, this episode of Dread Media celebrates dangerous women! First up, the damsel forever-in-distress is discussed in Desmond and Darryll's review of The Last Circus. Then the woman scorned / unbalanced psychopath is examined in Devil Dinosaur's review of Strait-Jacket in a new Stay Scary. Finally, the temptress / succubus gets her due attention as Desmond goes solo on Image Comics' horror noir series Fatale. If you're watching a beautiful woman dancing to these tunes, proceed with caution: "Lady Deathwish" by Three Inches of Blood, "Carousel" by Mr. Bungle, "Chop Chop Chop" by Alice Cooper, "Reptile" by Nine Inch Nails, and "Too Bad About Your Girl" by The Donnas. 2. For the second time in less than a month, Ian Wilson returns to Earth-2.net: The Show! This time around he's here to discuss Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2, as well as The Amazing Spider-Man! (For a complete look at Ian's coverage of the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies, listen to Earth-2.net: The Show 99, in which he spoke about Spider-Man 3.) [ 48:20 || 23.7 MB ]

 3. For Better or Worse is here, and, to kick the show off, Shana and Mike examined The Breakfast Club. Though it's a product of its time, the universal truths presented within make it a timeless classic. Yet, it could use a 21st century facelift, and that's what the duo's ready to provide! 4. Upon meeting Captain Jack Harkness, The Doctor and Rose discover his con game has accidentally doomed Earth ("The Empty Child" / "The Doctor Dances"). And a face from The Doctor's recent past plagues him once more, just as she's about to unleash another destructive plot ("Boom Town"). Note: This episode was recorded before the passing of Mary Tamm. 5. It's episode 31, and things are gonna get interesting. For one, there's a return of a familiar character over on Angel. And in the wake of a rampage, Angel appears to be turning into a honey badger. On Buffy there's an episode that's horrible (both in the actual content and the sheer emotional gauntlet that's run), and then there comes an episode that causes both Hannah and Will to rant for a while. Also, one of the Buffy episodes brings much rejoicing. Wanna know which one it is? Tune in as Hannah and Will cover Buffy's "Listening to Fear" and "Into the Woods," and Angel's "The Trial" and "Reunion." [ 1:22:31 || 39.9 MB ]

 6. Mike presents the strangest collection of Power Records to date: Wonder Woman: The Return of Brunhilde, Plastic Man: The Invasion of the Plastic Men, Metamorpho: Fumo the Fire Giant, Aquaman: The Defeat of the Dehydrator, and The Flash: The Three Faces of Mr. Big. As an added bonus, there are three Justice League of America songs that need to be heard to be believed! [ 49:20 || 24.2 MB ]

 7. Desmond celebrates being able to remember the episode number this week by giving you a great show! First up, the second film watched for Desmond and Darryll's filmstravaganza is a healthy, slightly spoiler-laden review of The Dark Knight Rises. Then Devil Dinosaur, Jr. reviews the Hammer Studios thriller Never Take Candy from a Stranger in a brand new Stay Scary. Songs included: "Rise Below" by Turbonegro, "Batman" by Voivod, "Candy from a Madman" by Wrathchild America, and "White Wedding" by The Murderdolls. Congratulations to Bette and Darren on their engagement! [ 1:02:42 || 30.3 MB ]

 8. Desmond sets the tone by getting the episode number wrong at the top of a show dealing with reviews of The Raid: Redemption (with Darryll), The Dark Knight Rises (by Devil Dinosaur, Jr.), and Silent House (just Desmond). There is also music between these reviews! These are those examples of music: "Razors Out" by Mike Shinoda and Joe Trapanese (featuring Chino Moreno), "Beyond Redemption" by HIM, "Sidekick" by Rancid, "Silent Scream" by Slayer, and "A Growing Disgust" by The Melvins Lite. 9. The Commonwealth Crew regrets that this installment of Dread Reel-ief features discussion of 1999's Virus. Not that the conversation is bad. The film is. Regrettably bad. Sorry. We are that we had to watch it. Yuck. There are robo-cenobites, though. Also, what other robot film gets a vocal gasp of disgust from Ian? [ 17:55 || 8.8 MB ]
