  1. As for The Joker, I kept getting a lot of Crispin Glover in Leto's performance (that's a good thing), and the character was wasted due to the main plot. I want to see more of this Joker, but I want him to be properly used.

But seriously, I really enjoyed it. It's definitely taken a page out of Guardians of the Galaxy in terms of soundtrack but that helped me to adore the first 30 minutes. Pacing and ending issues, yes.

I really appreciated the way Batman and The Flash were used, however briefly, to keep the universe consistent. It does raise a similar issue to that of Marvel films, though, in terms of 'Where are the other superheroes?'.

  2. Can we get Will to dub Ian?

    Perfect!

    Let me practice.

Blimey, this bangers and mash is wizzer! Chip chip, let's go to the pub and drink from aluminum cups, mate! I'm knackered from this law suit I worked on while being on The Weakest Link! I was gutted and gob smacked at how much of a damp squib I was! Oh, bollocks, it's brass monkeys outside! I'll stay in with a pack of fags talking about that rubbish Ackerman. What a wanker!

Ian how did you steal Will's login details?

  3. Star Trek Beyond: Not as awesome as the last two IMO (I liked Into Darkness) but still a good movie. It's the most that feels like the original series and the cast outdid themselves in the chemistry with each other. I'm really glad this won't be the last time we see them together. While the last two was sort of the Kirk and Spock show, this one is definitively an ensemble. Idris Elba's villain appears cookie-cutter at first, but by the end he's really engaging.

I agree with all of this, but what the hell was wrong with Chris Pine's face?

  4. Captain America 3? More like Avengers 2.5.

Am I the only one who thought that Cap was a complete asshole all the way through the film? I get that poor ol' Bucky has a bad rep and Zemo made him seem worse but I'm so over the 'but he's my fwiend' reasoning.

I rooted for Tony Stark all the way through. If this was Iron Man 4 it would be him rescuing The Avengers at the end.

Civil War is a very apt subtitle: these guys knocled 7 shades of shit out of each other. Are we supposed to believe that suddenly everyone's made up super quickly at the end of the film (apart from Stark and Cap)

    Black Panther was awesome.

    Spiderman was awesome.

The Vision was nerfed but was pretty great.

    Hawkeye sucks.

    Black Widow: traitor!

    Fly-guy irrated me.

Scarlette Witch: in a film about the problems of controlling power, her being a human embodiment of that problem, she got over her insecurities pretty damn quickly.

Still, a very well put together film with incredible action. I echo the sentiments about the slowness of the beginning and the end.

    Oh yeah, and:

Martin Freeman was in the film. Why, I'm not sure, but he definitely was.
