  1. Ok, I'm not sure how to treat this forum..but I'll presume it's like the RCC at the Oratory.

I really liked this, man. One thing, though: I know in games like Silent Hill, sound is a big factor. It really helped make the RE series so good. When I review a game, I have a little checklist of things in my brain to mention. They are: story, graphics, sound, difficulty, gameplay (different modes, what view your character takes, and the like), and controls and I try to dedicate a paragraph to each, at the least. When you combine that with an intro and an outro, it really "pads" your piece.

Now, I'm not saying you have to write a book (and oftentimes, my reviews are quite short) but by dedicating a paragraph to each, it sort of lengthens it out, which helps, especially when you don't want to write a long piece.

    Another quick thing:

    Title: Silent Hill

    Platform: Playstation

    Other Platforms: None

    Release Date: February 24, 1999

    Publisher: Konami

    Developer: Konami

    Genre: Survival-Horror, Psychological thriller

    ESRB Rating: M for Mature

    Players: 1

Personally, I'd have included the title of the game in the first paragraph, and what platform you played it for in the first paragraph. Someting like:

When I picked up the Playstation 2's exclusive seminal horror game, Silent Hill...

    Then I would have put

    Other Platforms: None

    Release Date: February 24, 1999

    Publisher: Konami

    Developer: Konami

    Genre: Survival-Horror, Psychological thriller

    ESRB Rating: M for Mature

    Players: 1

the above at the bottom. I mean, they know the title when they click on the link, so it's irrelevant, right? Then, you've included what system it is for. By adding the "exlusive" part to the opening sentence, you no longer need the other platforms part, but it's probably a decent idea to keep it there, for those that don't read it really close.

Overall, this was pretty good, and I rather enjoyed the review. Keep them coming.

  2. With this being the darkest chapter in the series, we will see death. However, it won't be gory (nor should it be), thanks to the fact that lightsabers cauterize wounds.

I didn't mean gory death and blood everywhere. I just want to see people stabbed, and violently so. I felt so cheated when Anakin went apeshit on the sand people. I wanted to see him kill the men, women, and children, not leave it to my imagination.

I mean, we had to put up with him being a whiny bitch, I want something to offset him being such a whiny bitch-like seeing him killing all the sand people.

  3. I was really pissed when there was no Batman Begins trailer with the sneak preview I saw of Catwoman. Even though it was free I didn't really want to go, but the hope of a Batman trailer was what got me to go.

Yeah, you'd figure WB would have wanted to put a teaser of their biggest film (next to the next Superman) before their newest film. Especially considering 01. not only are they both comic book characters, but 02. they're related!

    03. It might give people a reason to see Catwoman.

  4. Juggernaut's strength is maxed at 7, one or two good punches and 'Tooth is out cold. If you want it to the death, all Cain has to do is use his bare hands to rip open Victor's chest and pull his spine and skull out. And that shit ain't growin back.

You assume Juggernaut can hit the faster, more agile Sabretooth.

  5. Upcoming items:

Tuesday: Monsters of Horror: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre by Cash Melville

Our tag team path of destruction is over. :(Thank God.

It had to end eventually, but that doesn't mean we can't turn heel and double team Cash.

Oh nonononono, I'm just glad I don't have to crank out a review or two every night now.

  6. Nope, Surfer can control all matter. All he has to do is make his arms able to pass through Juggernaut, grab his brain, make his brain able to pass out through the back of his body (he can extend this power to other people, so it stands to reason he could extend it to parts of other people) and throw it into space.

    If he had to.

  7. Granted, his shield isn't pure Adamantium, but it goes to show that Adamantium can be damaged.

The Vibranium would only weaken the stronger adamantium, though. Adamantium is unbreakable, always. That is what has been drilled into all of us. Cap'n shield broke because of the Vibranium.

With all this back and forth, why are their only two votes?

    I nulled.

  8. Besides giving him vast superhuman strength, the mystical energy of Cyttorak gives the Juggernaut an extraordinary degree of resistance to all forms of injury. The Juggernaut can shield himself even further from injury by mentally surrounding himself with a force field. Enveloped by his force field, the Juggernaut has survived the fiery explosion of a truck transporting a huge quantity of oil without any injury whatsoever.

The Juggernaut can survive indefinitely without food, water, or oxygen. He is sustained by his mystical energies alone.

This doesn't make him invincible, though.

It's sort of like Unstoppable force vs. Immovable object.

  9. Either way, his 2 foot long claws nullify a reach difference of a couple inches. By the way, forums don't use HTML.  :D

Not to sound dumb, but when did 'Tooth get claws? He always had adamantium bones and nails, but I don't recall claws. (Unless you mean the Ultimate version, whom I can't recall right now.)

He's got 4 adamantium claws on each hand in Ultimate X Men, as well as adamantium talons and teeth, in addition to his bones.

Oh. I thought that you meant it would be close, provided that he's able to get through the non-helmet parts of the suit.

Yeah, like stab him in the heart.

  10. To Yoda:

Either way, his 2 foot long claws nullify a reach difference of a couple inches. By the way, forums don't use HTML. :D

I agree about the fanboy power. Logan has a huge rabid fanbase. He's no slouch, but Juggenaut is Juggernaut. He didn't get the name Unstoppable for no reason. Wolvie and Sabretooth both go splat against Jugs.

I don't see it as a Sabresplat, though. I think it'd be very close, at least.

  11. Now, if I had said Wolverine, would it be the same thing?

For me, If I had said Wolverine instead of Sabretooth, this becomes more lopsided for Juggernaut, as Juggernaut has the reach and heigh advantage, too. But then there would be INSANEO FANBOY POWER to swing the vote in Logan's direction.

Edit: I took a picture of the page that Sabretooth lays down the challenge, just because they both look so damned badass. Especially Sabretooth. Forgive my ghettoness, I don't have a scanner.

    100_5882.jpg

    C'mon, totally badass.

  12. Sabretooth could hypothetically eviscerate Juggernaut, though. I think it's the skullcap/helmet that can't be cut through, but that doesn't cover Juggernaut's organs, does it? So, Sabretooth could gouge out Juggernaut's heart, basically.

Plus, doesn't the ruby of Cyttorak that gave Juggernaut his powers reside inside of Juggernaut? So, if Juggernaut can be cut open (and I think he can be where his helmet doesn't cover him) the ruby could be removed, and Juggernaut is scrizzewed. I think Sabretooth is taller than Juggernaut, so he has the reach advantage too-made even more of an advantage when you consider an extra foot and a half to two feet of claws.

It would be a fucking great fight if done right in a book.
