  1. Are their any Spider-Man or Marvel in general comics out right now that you can jump into without prior knowledge today.

I've only flipped through the Brand New Day stuff, so I can't say for sure, but I've been hearing that Amazing Spider-Man is really easy to get into right now.

Thanks Yoda, I'll pick up an issue or two when i go and get the new issues of batman and detective. I hope to god they are not delayed.

  2. I'm DC, but that's because my favourite hero is Batman and when i tried to read some Spider-Man, like a three issue pack called "with great power" about his origin, i got bored. Are their any Spider-Man or Marvel in general comics out right now that you can jump into without prior knowledge today. A little rant here, but why the fuck do comic writers think we read everything that has every been released so that people like me who are relatively knew in the past couple of years, or in R.I.P haven't read the comics from the 50's are lost!

    Sorry off topic rant.

  3. What are you guys talking about Smallville was the best in the first couple of seasons, nowadays its pure shit.

Well, I may have watched WAY too much of smallville, and that's why I'm getting quite annoyed with it. Turns out it's not just drugs you can get addicted to, who knew.

On topic, i brought my birds of prey DVD set round for a friend to see it, and he watched about two minutes of the pilot and said he didn't like it. I showed him the first episode of Gotham girls and he wasn't to happy about that either.

I still haven't watched it past the first episode i saw online back in January, but hopefully it will be good.

  4. This poll confuses me.

Did you hate E.T. is the question right? The answers are only yes I hated it, never seen it, it's not bad, and I hate it. What if I like it?

    Also, there was a series?

OK, i fucked up. I'll fix it right now.

Edit: OK i fixed it, I think. I didn't know their was a series, however this poll is just about the movie, the first option is now did you like it, second is not seen it, and third is hated it.

  5. I just got my set today, I'm going to make a start on it as soon as I'm through with Smallville Season 3. Yes, i went through three seasons of Smallville within a week! <_< If i hate birds of prey i am going to

You have to remember it mixes different versions of The Birds of Prey comics and is way darker than Smallville. Although, I LOVED Mia Sara(and even Sherlyn Fenn)as Harley Quinn. If they ever decide to make a live action Batman film with Harley Quinn, that is the way it should be played. Leave the corky Harley for animation.

If you can get through three seasons of Smallville in a week, I'm not sure you're capable of hating anything.

Well, I do agree the series was kind of slow when it first started, but in the 3rd Season they started to show story arc's and went away from the "Freak of the Week" setup.

OK i pressed return and it put me quoting up twice, nice.

Anyway-I'm saying that i am pretty much going bat shit insane with Smallville, the whole Lana and Clark shit has not only been done to death, but kids are coming along and hitting it with a stick and saying "that was fun"

Smallville is getting more consistent, I'll give it that, it's just to much with the Clark and Lana shit.

I really am looking forward to watching Birds of Prey as it can't be any worse than the robocop TV series from the early 90's. Which i loved as a kid, because it was robocop.

  7. Well like Margot Kidder being hot, I'm surprised no one has ever asked this question.

E.T the Steven Spielberg movie from the 80's, was it just me or was their something about this movie that was boring and shit?

I mean I never liked it, I will never like it and frankly when talking about childhood films i would rather say, Don Bluth classics like An American Tail or All Dogs go to Heaven or Robocop! These were movies that i loved as a kid not E-Fricking-T!!

So your thoughts E.T good or bad?

  8. Hello everyone, I thought I'd share the link to my Journal on Rotten Tomatoes, which features several film reviews, please comment and tell me your opinions in my journal:

Read your reviews and they are good. Just a few things, first don't use acronyms like OMG or LOL just say you found the thing funny or it was very interesting so it sounds more professional.

Also I'm going to tell you what my journalism teacher told me last November-Don't put anything in brackets while writing. If you can't say what you want to say without using brackets then it isn't needed in your article.

Super boy-"I have the series as part of a fan made set, so I have access to every episode. Its sad too, because the series, showed promise, it just needed more time to catch its audience. With WB now owning New Line Cinema there are renewed hopes that WB's will release the series on DVD, but the WB has said they don't see enough fan request or that not many even know about the series.

I'm glad to have the series, but right now most episodes can be seen on AOL Video website and a few episodes not featured on there can be seen on You tube."

Instead of repeating the fact that you have it as a fan made set, just say that once that you are reviewing them from a fan made set, and then at the end of your article say that they can bought from eBay or viewed online, separate from your main article.

Well that's all i have to say, i really enjoyed reading your reviews and you might have a valid point behind the things i critiqued. However, i do recommend that you take my advice on the no brackets thing.

  9. Fun Fact: Mickey James and I used to be friends when I did wrestling school back in the day.

Obviously, she's filled out a bit since.

She may or may not have been seeing John Cena. Don't forget that the WWE likes all their female wrestlers to "fill out" a bit. Such as Jillian Hall.

  10. BIG BUMP!

I really liked the game, but now its getting on my nerves.

The saved rampage and showman and all that shit was fun at first, but now the game is less about skill and more about can you actually save one of these special moves.

Why are the people ice skating as well! This game is still slightly fun, but the skill has been taken out of it, for Christ sake remove the special power, hardcore high flying stats shit and give me a good wrestling game again! I really don't want to have to get TNA iMPACT!

Story mode is a piece of dog shit as well!

Also what you said about the pounce is true, its one of the coolest finishers in the game and it takes forever to get your opponent into the ropes and then then you either lose the special or your opponent counters it!

However i disagree with this: James: I'll tell you this much — people ragged on Just Bring It, but it was fun. It was infinitely more enjoyable than this pile of garbage.

I hated Just Bring it, all that was playable in it was the royal rumble, and even that sucked.

  11. There was some tension recently because he was booked to do shows and the WWE put a stop to them. I'm not surprised he left. He should have plenty of money from royalties for years to come on dvd and merchandise to keep his ex wife happy. If not, he needs a better agent.

Yeah he has that second Ric Flair set coming out, or is already out. I'm not getting it as i think he was overrated. But the royalties are good, but if he pissed Vince off before he left, Vince might Randy Savage him. On a related topic Jim Duggans contract was changed to a legends deal recently to allow him to do Indy's without the WWE, however the cost of this is that he is on a pay by performance contract now, if he isn't booked on a show that week, he doesn't get paid.

Why didn't Flair ask for this!

  12. That's why it's good for him to get all the indy dates now, fresh off the retirement. Once that wears off, he goes back to Vince.

Yeah, he's trying to get as much money as possible right now. Also who knows, Flair might go to TNA. Yes it's a very long shot, but it might happen to get Vince to give him more money like it did for Foley.

  13. I think that's the reason he left. They were preventing him from making money.

Though, honestly, I have no sympathy for people that make millisns and somehow manage to blow all of it.

But he was still on a guaranteed contract of $400,000 per year.

I agree with you though, it's his own bloody fault for pissing all his money away. Flair finance has also gone down the drain. The Indy dates will mean he will make a bit of money for one or two years, but after that, like it was in WWE before the retirement story, no one will give a shit.

  14. There was really no reason for him to stick around. He's retired, and he should be able to take whatever appearences he wants.

He'll be back when they need him.

He'll be back when he runs out of money.

It cost a lot of money to be Ric Flair. I heard he has to pay $20,000 a month to his ex-wife in alimony.
