Waking up on your birthday with aches and pains in your feet, hand, knees and elbows. Yep. I feel old.

As much as I hate the fact that my state bows and scraps to the oil companies, they do give me a very nice check every October. This year's Permant Fund Dividend check: $1,174.
In other words: C2E2 paid for.

Okay this getting freaking ridiculous! I've been sick now for six days and I am currently sitting in my doctor's office for my second visit this week. Hopefully this visit somebody will tell me what is causing me to be so freakin' miserable!!!!

I have one word to sum up my feelings after watching the premiere: WWWWWOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!

Congratulations to everyone on job opportunities!
Meanwhile, I learned today that my East Asian Civilization professor has a mad on for Godzilla. Guess what I'm watching this semester? GODZILLA! And it's not the crap-tactic Godzilla either. It's the original.

I had forgotten how much I hate wearing corsets. Oh well, such as the price of beauty.
Ren Faire is only two weeks away!
Bring it on, bitches!

This is a toughy. I like each Doctor for different reasons. But if I had to pick I would go with Eight. He seems like he's a nice balance between all of the doctors. He can be inquisitive, distracted, jovial, wise, and serious, but also knowledgeable about things beyond human understanding.
As for companions, that is an equally tough choice. So again if I had to chose, I would go with Ian, Donna, and Jamie. Ian and Donna would be the responsible ones keeping me and Jamie out of trouble, while The Doctor asks himself "Why did I ever take these bipedal apes on?"
That being said, ask me again tomorrow and my answer might change.

The only time I love the IRS is when they send me money. My tax return came today. Thank you Uncle Sam.

I would suggest The Aztecs, The Talons of Wei-Chiang, The Five Doctors, The Two Doctors, The Mind Robber, The Three Doctors, The Keys of Marinus, The Horror of Fang Rock, or the Masque of Mandragora. Those are all personally favorites of mine and all for different reasons. I think they given a nice broad spectrum of what classic Doctor Who has to offer.

I just had to take my first Claritin of the year. Allergy season has arrived. Oh joy of joys.

I may not have many DVDs, but I make up for it in other media.

After over ten years of faithful service, my DVD player gave me the "spinning wheel of death" today, which meant me going over to Best Buy (the nearest one is across town from where I live), shelling out my hard earned money, taking it back home, and setting it up. It's not some much an annoyance as it is an inconvenience, but still.
Upshot: I got myself a shiny, new DVD player.

Oh be still my beating heart. I can't wait.

I'm surprised that no one brought up that not only does Talons have references to Sherlock Holmes, but The Phantom of The Opera as well. A crazed, deformed psychopath living beneath a theatre and killing people? Connections? I think so.

On the Facebook game FrontierVille, they have a little angel statue with it's eyes closed and if you put your cursor over it, the caption will read: "Blink and you're dead. They're that fast." Weeping Angels anyone?

As I was walking to work this morning, for no good reason I glanced down. And, in so doing, I saw this:
(Sorry for the blurriness of the picture. My phone doesn't do good with closeups.)
Seems that I've seen this button somewhere before...hmmmm.

There's another Mandragora story that BBC Audio did. It's called Doctor Who: The Beautiful Chaos featuring The Tenth Doctor, Donna Noble, and Wilfred Mott. It is read by Bernard Cribbins (the actor who plays Wilfred Mott) and is available on iTunes. Be forewarned, this is a real tear-jerker.

Normally I would post this in the "I need to vent" thread, but I not even remotely pissed off enough to warrent that.
For those of you who are unaware, I was laid off from my job last Thursday. I view this a blessing in disguise. Until I find a new job, I can work on my book and other writings to be ready for publication. Unfortunately, it may mean that due to money contraints, I can only spend one day at C2E2 with all of you.
I am currently searching for a new job, which is a level of annoyance that I have not experienced in years. I shall keep you all posted on developments as they occur.
