  1. I have been playing video games since: 6.

The number of platforms (PC included) I've ever owned: 4

The first game I can remember playing: Mario 3

The first game I ever finished/mastered: Tetris 2

The first piece of hardware/software I ever broke: My Sega was bought from a yard sale wrapped in tape and would only come on if you wrapped the power cord around the game 6 times. It sill works. So, I haven't broke anything.

The awesomest gaming moment I remember: Beating Tetris II on a B&W TV.

If I could have a job at a video game company: No interest.

Greatest game of all time: Tetris

Best ending: I have only beat one game, Tetris II. So, that.

Best multiplayer: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game

    Best character: Mario.

    They should remake: N/A

They should stop making: Movie Tie-Ins. I have never heard a good time about them and they tend to not sell.

They should make a movie about: Sonic. I mean, we got a live action Mario game and that turned out good, right?

I can beat anyone at: Tetris II.

I always suck at: Any game past the Sega Genesis (Barring the new NBA JAM). Too many buttons you kids have today, or somthing.

  2. The Observer gave the Punk/Cena match *****. Last time a WWE match earned that was in 1997.

The crowd deserves a lot of the credit for that. The match itself was sloppy, but the crowd just made that match as great as it was.

  3. Just listened/watched the Spoony review of Money in the Bank. Apparently, the crowd at the PPV was dead until the main event. I must have watched a different Money in the Bank PPV.

As for RAW, I love the fact that for the past four weeks, RAW feels more episodic than it has in years. Makes you want to watch next week now, which is exactly what you want the crowd to feel. Good job so far.

EDIT: It just dawned on me that even with the tournament, they never showed a new belt. Seems odd to me.

  4. I am not a fan at all of one or both MITB winners cashing in at the PPV. Kane cashed his in at last years PPV, so it is kinda a rehash. Also, MITB can help make a guy. It helped Edge, Miz and even Punk reach a higher level. Giving Rhodes that months long 'briefcase push' could really help him out.

I'd like to see Del Rio win the RAW MITB and then announce ahead of time he is cashing it in at the main event of SummerSlam. Destiny or something. I may be wrong, but I think RVD is the only MITB winner to announce ahead of time when he is cashing it in. The 'sneak attack' cash in is getting a little played. For Smackdown? Have Barrett or Rhodes win the MITB and get the longer, slow build for their heelish cash in later on in the year. Also, I really hope one of this years winners loses and does not win the title.

  5. Let's see what I can come up with.

    1) Be More Active: I have a gym membership, I just need to make myself start going again. Not really a weight issue, not saying losing some wouldn't hurt, but I just need to be more active. Once spring/summer hits, taking walks and playing ball will help with this.

Double fail. Not stepped foot in the gym. Also, weekly basketball seems to not be as easy when everyone but me works 60 hr weeks.

    2) Try To Cook: I try and it generally works out well. And I actually enjoy doing it. But I always fall into eating the quick meal. Need to do better.

    Fail, for the most part.

    3) Media: I have a massive backlog of various forms of media just sitting around me. I have a stack of CDs and countless mp3s to listen to. About 40 UFC PPVs. One shelf of DVDs. 11 TV series on DVD. Two shelves of novels. A couple boxes of comics. And lastly, a metric shit ton of wrestling. I was making some decent progress before the holidays. There is zero chance I get through everything, but if I even take this down by 25% I would be thrilled.

Shockingly to me, major headway has been made. The stack of CDs are gone (and they were all crap). 1/3 of mp3s are listen to and the crap deleted. Shelf of DVDs has only five left on it. So progress, which is all I wanted.

    4) Vacation: I have never been on a vacation in my life. I want to do that this year. I want to visit every MLB stadium and currently stand at 3. I looked at the Reds schedule last August, and was thinking about seeing them play in Baltimore. Or possibly going to DC for a Nationals game and hitting the Pirates on the way back. Either way, save money now and have the chance of fun later.

Well, I went to Baltimore to see the Reds play the Orioles. Not so much a vacation, with the not staying, but the four days straight off work was needed.

  6. Listening to Right After Wrestling right now. Post RAW spoilers (since no one seems to know if this is standard after RAW happenings, or the start of the RAW taping for next week).

Like I said, as I have heard on Right After Wrestling show. They are getting reports from I have no idea where, so gain of salt and whatnot.

    - Cole announced to the live crowd that CM Punk has been suspended indefinitely.

    - Next week: Mysterio vs. Del Rio vs. Truth for #1 contendership at the Money in the Bank PPV.

    - CM Punk possibly escorted out of the building.

    - CM Punk possibly in a meeting with Vince McMahon/Joe L/Other people he pissed off.

    So, that happened.

  7. This thread started on the LeBron talk, so a MASSIVE congrats to the Mavs on their win. Not only a win for Dallas, but a win for purity in sport.

    Bull. Shit.

How is this a purity of sports issues? If anything, what LeBron did by signing with the Miami Heat is the purest thing possible in sport. He tried to win the championship. Want to criticize how he played in the Finals? Go right ahead. He played awful in the Finals, specially during high pressure situations. However, he made it to the Finals. In seven years in Cleveland he made it to the Finals once. And they were swept. And the last two years he lead the Cavs to the best record in the league, but the TEAM failed to make it back to the finals. Given how well the Cavs played this year somewhat shows how little he had to work with.

And most of the players that we hold to the highest esteem had that other guy. Bird had McHale. Kareem had Magic. Jordan had Pippen. Kobe had Shaq/Gasol. The recent Celtic had a trio of hall of famers. Even Wade had Shaq back in '06. And having two Hall of Famers is not enough sometimes. The Jazz had Karl Malone and John Stockton, not to mention HoF coach Jerry Sloan for well over ten years and could never win a championship. It is still a team game at the end of the day.

So in the off season, as a free agent, he signed with a new team. A team that he felt would give him the best chance of winning the ultimate goal of the NBA; The Finals. Not only that, he signed for less money. Amar'e Stoudemire signed with the Knicks for the maximum he could. Were the Knicks better than the Suns, whom he left. Kinda a push in my opinion. So by taking the most money possible, he gave himself no better chance at a championship. Does he get knocked for killing the "purity of sports" because he went for money? No. Hell, Hedo Türkoğlu came off an NBA Finals appearance with the Orlando Magic and signed with the Toronto Raptors. Why? Not to win a championship; his wife liked the city. Isn't that a bit off?

Dwight Howard is a free agent after the next season. If he signs with the Lakers, teams up with Kobe and Gasol, does that increase his chance of winning? Yes. Will he be killed for it? Doubt it. Switch over to baseball. CC Sabathia signs a max deal to pitch for the Yankees. Cliff Lee signs a non max deal to join the Phillies. Why? Both thought this was the best situation for them to win a championship. Paid off for CC; we shall see for Lee.

So, what is "Purity of Sport"? Play hard, do what is right, say your prayers and eat your vitamins? Isn't play to win part of that to? And at the professional level that is winning championships. Lebron did what he thought was best to win a championship. You can fault him for his bad play. His not being clutch. His ill advised tv special. But please, don't overstate what he did.

He got a better job in a warmer city.

  8. Fuck you cable company. You have a technical error that raises my bill $22. Key words: You, Error. Yet when you fix this error, my bill is somehow still $13 higher. When I ask why, you say you fixed the error. Yet somehow, my next bill will be at the normal price. Yeah, $13, but still. You are all asshats. This is all.

  9. I think I watched the ugliest defensive game ever.

Bases loaded. Two out. Pitcher batting. Two errors and three runs score.

Two outs. Batter strikes out. Everybody walking off the field. The third strike was dropped. No throw to 1st. No tag of the batter. Inning continues.

Runners on 1st & 2nd. No out. Catcher bunting. Throwing error leads to the ball going to the outfield wall. Two runs score. Catcher ends up on 3rd.

Runner on 1st. Two out. Reigning NL MVP batting. MVP hits a ball to the right field wall. Runner tries to score. Would be caught dead at home, yet the throw missed the cut-off guy, and the cut-off guys back up and the run scores.

Cincinnati 7 - Cubs 5. Cubs pitchers - 0 ER. Congrats Cubs, you still completely suck.

  10. I have about twenty minutes until I leave for the dentist. I have a feeling this will be a very bad day.

Among other things, the dentist gave me a nice quote that starts with a 4 and is followed by a comma. Now is only I had that kind of cash laying around. Fun day all around.

  11. I finally just watched the film (admittedly a few years late). And I have to admit that it was perhaps my 2nd favorite Bond film, behind From Russia With Love. I think what is holding me back is: a) the GIGANTIC plot hole of Blowfeld not recognizing Bond and b) the fast cut action scenes. I really don't like that style of film, and it really takes me out of the film. I would have bought the plastic surgery excuse, but Bond goes around telling everyone he is Bond anyways, so a new face wouldn't have mattered for long.

Lazenby was a lot better as Bond than I would have thought, given that he only did the one film. I do think his Bond would be more fondly remembered if he had done a few more films. Remember, this was his first crack at it, so I think he would have gotten even better.

Lastly, the kill with then snow trencher was rather graphic for these early Bond films and a genuine 'holy shit' moment.

  12. I agree on the lack of major stars that do not have their own DVD sets. But I was shocked when a Big Show set came out. And, just from my experience at work, I have sold out of it three times at work. That never happen for any WWE release.

I would really love a Jerry Lawler set, as I think his Memphis stuff alone would be worth the price.

  13. Speaking of finishing DVDs, I am finally done with the Chris Jericho set. And I have to say, the matches kinda let me down. Don't get me wrong, I love Chris Jericho. However, some of the match choices seemed odd. I get wanting to have some less than awesome matches on the set because they are important points of his career, but still. It is still a very good set tho, just not the awesomeness that I was hoping for. Also, watching the documentary right off of reading his two books was probably not the greatest of ideas.

  14. I kinda broke my couch a while back. Nothing too terrible, but I knew I did it and moved on. Said couch sits in front of a window. Said window has plastic on it for the winter. Seeing as it is Spring, I figured it was time to take it down. Moved the couch to get at the window and my broken couch has made a nice little hole in the wall slowly over time. It is nifty.

  15. The Art of Wrestling with Colt Cabana - I like how Colt says how this is a life podcast. While the focus is on wrestling/wrestlers, these people lead such interesting lives that I cannot say I have heard a bad episode. (Granted, I passed on the Iron Sheik appearance.) I mean, who would have thought that Fetus would have been such an entertaining guy?

  16. Reeves says the third installment’s story arc might fit into the overall franchise. "When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn't happened," he said. "So they've now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there's an element of time and they have to go back."

Did that happen? They played the song at the end of the battle of the bands and 'saved to world' to an 80s montage, right?
