JackFetch Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler said on Friday that "Jericho" will not be returning for a third season. "The March 25th episode of Jericho will be the series finale," said Tassler. She added: "Without question, there are passionate viewers watching this program; we simply wish there were more. We thank an engaged and spirited fan base for keeping the show alive this long, and an outstanding team of producers, cast and crew that went through creative hoops to deliver a compelling, high quality second season. We have no regrets bringing the show back for a second try. We listened to our viewers, gave the series an opportunity to grow, and the producers put a great story on the screen. We're proud of everyone's efforts." http://www.comingsoon.net/news/tvnews.php?id=43213 Quote
ragernok2002 Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 If the first Season had more of what is happening this they might not have been cancelled. Its a real pity cause the second season has been really good and I can't wait for the last ep. I just wish the second season had been more than 7 shows to give the story more time to grow. Quote
NightAngle04 Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 Wasn't this always the plan though? they come back for 7 eps and thats it? Quote
JackFetch Posted March 23, 2008 Author Report Posted March 23, 2008 Wasn't this always the plan though? they come back for 7 eps and thats it? They were prepared for it, but hoped to get picked up again. They filmed two endings in case they get picked up again. Quote
ragernok2002 Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 That was a really good episode. It leaves the door open for a 3rd series or a tv movie. Aren't the producers suppose to be in talks with the Sci Fi channel and a couple of other networks? Quote
