JackFetch
Since this summer is over, I thought I'd start the thread for next year. The movies I'm looking forward to(even if if I think they will suck): Watchmen March 6th Dragonball April 10th X-Men Origins: Wolverine May 1st Star Trek May 9th Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins May 22 A-Team June 12 Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen June 26 G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra August 7 On paper it looks like what I would have killed for as a kid. Predictions: If they don't move the date, Star Trek will bomb being released a week after Wolverine. Star Trek isn't the franchise it once was, and doesn't have the mainstream appeal the Wolverine movie does. Add to that the buzz already around the Wolvie movie thanks to the trailer and the fact that we haven't seen a thing from Trek yet. They need to move it to July where there is no competition. Dragonball will bomb, but become somewhat of a cult movie. G.I. Joe will be the biggest movie of the year followed by Transformers 2 and Wolverine. A-Team will bomb, and I'll forget they made it until I see the dvd at Target in a couple years. Watchmen will make well over 100 million, and probably over 200 million. NightAngle04
I think Dragonball shall be huge .............. overseas. I would say Wolverine will have the biggest gross when all is said and done.
slothian
That's quite an 80s summer there! By that token, the fact I was slightly too young to be into certain franchises (and that I didn't get into them further down the line) means that I have no interest in the Transformers 2, GI Joe or A-Team movies. Of that list, I'm only bothered about Watchmen, Wolverine and Terminator 4 - I quite liked T3, and I've been a Bale mark for a while even if this film's being directed by McG.
