My first attempt at digital coloring

I was quite bored and was looking over Ross Hughes' great digital coloring tutorial from about a year or so ago, and decided to give it a shot. I used the exact same pic from the article because I'm lazy.

Here is the original.

And here it is after the Dubs treatment.

As you can see, I don't get rendering, like, at all. I'd have an easier time solving Planck's constant than getting highlights on Batman's leg.

Thanks. I was actually surprised at how quickly I made my way through it. The whole thing only took me about 30 minutes. Outside of the rendering, I had an issue doing the skintones without much of a reference point, though I really fell in love with that shade of blue that I ended up using for Cap. It really jumps out at you.
