grahamvidger
Any really good Spirit comics? What is good to start out with, if you have never read them?

SuaveStar
Well, I just found this thread. Koete said that the Batman/Spirit crossover is good. Also I think almost all of Will Eisners archives are available in trade now, so try out one of those.

Koete
No worries Graham, this wasn't a dumb thread at all. Sorry I didn't reply the first time around. I would recommend the Best of The Spirit TPB to check out the original Spirit stories by Will Eisner. It's fairly cheap (especially online) and will give you a nice feel for the series so you can decide if you want to pursue the pricier Archive editions or not. For modern Spirit, you can't go wrong with Darwyn Cooke's run on the new Spirit ongoing. It's collected across two trade paperbacks/hardcovers, although the second trade was only just solicited. The stories are great and the art is phenomenal.
