Missy
On her Facebook page, Louise Simonson announced that she'll be writing a five-issue X-Factor: Forever series, to be drawn my Dan Panosian. Here's an interview with Simonson, which includes some preview artwork.
Koete
One step closer to a Chris Claremont/Alan Davis Excalibur Forever...
Missy
I hadn't thought about that! For those of you who haven't heard, there will also be a New Mutants: Forever miniseries in 2010. Chris Claremont will be writing that one, but I can't recall who's drawing it. Dread
This stuff doesn't work for me. It's like saying to a screenwriter, "Ok, remember that movie you did 15 years ago? Ok, what we want you to do is pretend it never ended and continue the story, but take it anywhere you want to." It just seems kind of creatively bankrupt to me. Claremont killed Wolverine? How edgy. I'll stay away from this.
Missy
That was his longterm plan back then, though. Claremont was going to kill Logan, have him resurrected by The Hand, then turn him into the big X-foe for a few years. In fact, that's supposedly where Mark Millar got the idea for Enemy of the State.
Dread
Still, it seems a little lame when they could be getting Louise Simonson to come back and do something new instead of backtracking to something from more than a decade ago, you know?
