SuaveStar
Ian you've confirmed it for me, I am not even going to bother renting this film, and wait for it to show up on TV in several years. Great review. Also, I don't think Mike minded you calling him Batman.
Metallo
I don't know anything about the Green Hornet, but I really enjoyed the movie. I've never seen a movie theater where so many people are laughing and having fun. But, to each his own.
slothian
I think your opening statement explains why you enjoyed it as much as you did. There's definitely stuff to like in there, although even leaving aside the textual back history of the Green Hornet character, the reliance on comedy meant that the more serious aspects of the film (ie/ taking control of the drug districts, the death of Britt's father) were lost and the direction suffered as a result. A lot of people are always going to laugh at Seth Rogen goofing around, I just wasn't one of them.
