S-T
A remake of the classic late 1980's arcade shooter "Narc" is being blasted because if the player uses the drugs he confiscates from criminals, it can enhance his character's powers. Well, I suppose we should also ban "Super Mario Brothers" and SMB's sequels. After all, Mario and Luigi eat mushrooms to double their size and strength, and eating flowers allow the brothers to throw fire at enemies. In fact, SMB is even worse because there are no negative consequences from eating performance-enhancing mushrooms and flowers, while "Narc" penalizes the player for using drugs. And what of the Super NES game "Brawl Brothers"? Eating food items like roast beef or chicken restores the player's life energy, but doesn't the game send the wrong message when the food acts as a power up when it is floating in the sewer? In fact, the chicken leg looks like something else when it is floating down the sewer. That's just nasty. It's a video game, people. Get over it. Luke
Hah, I remember Duke Nukem 3-D, where finding steroids would give you a Quad Damage-like effect. And Carmageddon 2, where the drugs power up would send you into a trippy reverse control flashy light mode thing. Dose were da days.
