    Episode 31

It's episode 31, and things are gonna get interesting. For one, there's a return of a familiar character over on Angel. And in the wake of a rampage, Angel appears to be turning into a honey badger. On Buffy there's an episode that's horrible (both in the actual content and the sheer emotional gauntlet that's run), and then there comes an episode that causes both Hannah and Will to rant for a while. Also, one of the Buffy episodes brings much rejoicing. Wanna know which one it is? Tune in as Hannah and Will cover Buffy's "Listening to Fear" and "Into the Woods," and Angel's "The Trial" and "Reunion." Songs included: "Rise Below" by Turbonegro, "Batman" by Voivod, "Candy from a Madman" by Wrathchild America, and "White Wedding" by The Murderdolls. Episode 256

Desmond sets the tone by getting the episode number wrong at the top of a show dealing with reviews of The Raid: Redemption (with Darryll), The Dark Knight Rises (by Devil Dinosaur, Jr.), and Silent House (just Desmond). There is also music between these reviews! These are those examples of music: "Razors Out" by Mike Shinoda and Joe Trapanese (featuring Chino Moreno), "Beyond Redemption" by HIM, "Sidekick" by Rancid, "Silent Scream" by Slayer, and "A Growing Disgust" by The Melvins Lite. 17. The Commonwealth Crew regrets that this installment of Dread Reel-ief features discussion of 1999's Virus. Not that the conversation is bad. The film is. Regrettably bad. Sorry. We are that we had to watch it. Yuck. There are robo-cenobites, though. Also, what other robot film gets a vocal gasp of disgust from Ian? Episode 30

Episode 30 is striding into town amid a backdrop of flames, and goddamn, things are getting awesome. And heart-wrenching. Did I mention the heart-wrenching? 'Cause that's coming down the tunnel, fast. However, for now, there is Spike kicking the ass of Not Pam Grier, the Master showing up for some awesome cameos, Angel pretending to be a swinging vamp in a good old fashioned heist movie, and Riley's one-episode closer to leaving the show! WHOOOOOO! Join Hannah and Will as they cover Buffy's "Fool for Love" and "Shadows," and Angel's "Darla" and "The Shroud of Rahmon." Episode 255

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond and Darryll discuss an exclusive screening of local filmmaker Panos Cosmatos's first film, the psychedelic sci-fi / horror film Beyond the Black Rainbow. In the latest Stay Scary, Devil Dinosaur, Jr. reviews Gary A. Braunbeck's non-fiction book To Each Their Darkness. On top of that, there's some important information about the future of Dread Media! Tunes: "Beyond Electric Dreams" by Bad Religion, "Rainbow in the Dark" by Dio, "She Loves Me" by The Descendants, and "Pharmaceutical" by Grotus. 23. After announcing a short hiatus for the boys, Desmond thought it wouldn't be prudent to leave you guys podcastless when there's perfectly good audio sitting around the Dropped D compound! So, presented for your approval, a piece of audio first published this past April as part of Earth-2.net: The Show's episode 500 celebration of all that is Superman. Desmond and Damien break format to do an interesting survey of eight songs featuring Superman in title or content. Hear Desmond's unceasing frustration at this barrage of 90s buffoonery. More importantly, this is where the Spin Doctors nonsense really got legs. Please be patient for a new show soon! 25. The Doctor and Rose uncover a conspiracy aboard a news-gathering space station, while Adam does stuff before being dumped back home ("The Long Game"). Then Rose saves her father's life, and, in the process, nearly destroys all of creation ("Father's Day"). Also, Dan and Mike have plenty to say about the tenure of Russell T. Davies thus far.
