  1. Steel Battalion -- and I don't think it will come to the Xbox, I'd just like to see some sort of downloadable content, online co-op, and/or fighting on Live.
  2. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the biggest VG fan, but I can appreciate it for what it is. It'd be cool if they threw it on the Xbox too, and had some sort of multiplayer Live support.

    Xbox Live

I finally threw down the cash for Xbox Live, and all I have to say is WOW! Some dude from Wales just kicked my ass in Top Spin, and I couldn't be happier! It's so cool to think that I just played someone 4000 miles away without ever leaving the comfort of my own home. Again, I say, "WOW!" Anyway, I figured we could use this thread to post our handles. Mine is Weapon 0 -- that's a zero, not an oh.
  4. You have to find a copy of Oni Press Color Special 2001 -- it's fucking hilarious! Bendis wrote the major story, and it features both Walker and Pilgrim (from Powers) as they investigate the death of Madman. Bendis takes every opportunity to poke fun at the indy scene, The Big Two, other creators, and even himself. For instance, he has Oeming do the repeated panel thing 27 times on one page, and then, well... just read this dialog: Pilgrim: Yes. Round them up. Walker: Yes. Pilgrim: Yes. Walker: What? Pilgrim: What? Walker: No, what? Pilgrim: What? Walker: Why are you repeating everything I am saying? Pilgrim: Why am I repeating everything you are saying? Walker: Why are you repeating everything I am saying? Pilgrim: Why am I repeating everything you are saying? Walker: I'm asking you -- Pilgrim: You're asking me? You're asking me? Walker: Yes. Pilgrim: What? Walker: What? Pilgrim: What? Walker: Huh? Pilgrim: What? Walker: Yes. Pilgrim: Good. Walker: Uh -- let's go. Pilgrim: Let's go. Walker: Stop it. Pilgrim: Stopping. Walker: I mean it. Pilgrim: You mean it.

    Powers Vol 2

Though this thread was kinda dead in the water, I felt I should move it to the Marvel forum considering it's now a Marvel/Icon title. Question: Will Image continue to publish the vol 1 TPBs, or will Marvel?
  6. Too many panels: I will give you that. He also has his artists use the same shot over and over and over again. This was pointed out to me by jeffzwirek -- no other writer seems to do this but Bendis. Not only will he have them use the same drawing repeatedly, he'll have them use it to push/zoom in and things get all grainy and digital. It's quite odd. Yiddish: This doesn't bother me for two reasons: 1) I use Yiddish a lot and I'm not even Jewish, and 2) most of the characters he currently writing are set in New York City which has a very high Jewish population -- so even non-Jewish characters, such as Peter Parker, might drop a word now and then simply because they've picked it up from their surroundings.
  7. Do just not like him/his style at all, or just his Ultimate X-Men run?
  8. Whoa, whoa, whoa... are you saying you don't like Bendis' writing?
  9. As cool as that scene was, the movie couldn't decide if it wanted to be pulp, a western, or modern day action.
  10. Yes! Also known as The Jackal.
  11. Nope. HINT: He was in love with Gwen Stacy.
  12. I know Kill Bill vol 2 opened this weekend as well, but did anyone see The Punisher?
  13. After reading your interview, I went to the comic shop to pick both GlookCookie and Nightmares & Fairytales up, but they had neither. So I'll probably order them online.
  14. Not the Kingpin. Anyone want a hint?
  15. This one might be too obscure. "Kevin" is styled after Geoff Darrow. Here's another question: Who originally hired The Punisher to kill Spider-Man?
  16. Kevin, the cannibal from the original Sin City series, was drawn to look like which comic book artist.
  17. Aztek -- battle helmet and suit -- fourth dimensional power battery I loved this book, and this was long before I knew who Grant Morrison and Mark Millar were.
  18. The explosion only gave him a small scar on his cheek, but he himself ruined his face when he put the still red-hot mask upon his face. So Drubot is up.
  19. OH! I thought you just meant other non-DC superheroes. Anyway, how did Victor von Doom's face become scarred?
  20. If the environments are interactive and destructible, if you can destroy your opponent several ways to Sunday with said environment, and if the gameplay and controls are actually good, then I might consider buying it. But truth be told, I've never been impressed by the MK series -- not even as a kid, when it was the coolest thing around.
  21. Here's a hint: Iron Man to _______ _______ to Wolverine Wolverine to _______ _______ to Prophet
