  1. Fucking awesome! But I'm pissed that I didn't hear about this 'til right now. It's odd that no one was talking about it at the show.
  2. Today's edition of the USA Today has a write-up and a picture of the DS. I haven't had time to read it yet, but if anyone else has PLEASE post some info.

    Doom 3 trailer

I'm not a fan of FPSs, but, after watching this trailer, all I have to say is, I MUST OWN THIS! Doom 3 trailer <------link I love then end when the announcer says, "This game has not yet been rated." Like it's going to get anything but Mature!

    Halo 2

I was blown away when I read that Halo was their most recent game.

I just received this press release.

    E3Expo

I leave for LA Tuesday morning, so if there are any more requests, they better be made soon.
  7. Wow! And I was guessing. Let's see... what did St. John Allerdyce do for a living before he became Pyro?
  8. This is just personal speculation, but since all of the teams have balked (no pun intended) at the idea, I'm left to wonder if this was the advertising agency's plan all along. I mean, what's better publicity: a few ads on first base, or word of mouth because of said ad campaign? It has even non-Spider-Man/baseball fans talking about the movie -- such as my mother.
  9. Too bad he was a tool, and was killed because his face wasn't protected.
  10. He did it himself when he drank a potion of his own making. Ultimate X-Men continuity = Weapon X program did it. WOW! Covering both continuities -- nice!

    X-Men Reload

I haven't read the newest issue, so I can't comment. But I will say that Alan Davis is the man! Unless he's lost control of his hand and is drawing with his feet, his work is always tops. When Alan Davis is drawing typical superheroes, like the JLA, or like Captain Marvel, yeah, he's good. With X-Men, I just don't think his art fits. There's too much stuff going on, and everything looks unclear, plus, his characters are seriously ugly. The 'Twelve' storyline being a perfect example. This is one of those deals where we're going to have to agree to disagree, because I think Davis' art is stunning. Granted, I haven't seen his latest, but everything else to date has been excellent.
  12. The answer was McKenzie. Who turned Henry McCoy into the furry Beast?

  14. Don't worry, friend -- that's about all most people remember of the game.
  15. Batman's beaten Shiva. When? And even if she has, she's still regarded as the best fighter in the DCU.
  16. Namor Jones. And the Temple of Fish. Dun da dun DUN duh da DAAAAAA! Dun da duh duh dun, duh dun dun DUN! Feel the excitement!!!!!! Uh... ... no.
  17. Is this a new one, or the same program that aired late last year? If it is, I saw it then and thoroughly enjoyed it.
  18. The ship has a full crew, so Smith can take over other bodies -- but no duplicate Smiths a la the second and third films. As for air, I don't know if Smith (or the host body) needs oxygen to live.

    The Punisher

This is what the Punisher is supposed to be: hardcore violence and themes. I can't wait for the next issue to hit the stands. Once this storyline is over, I plan on reviewing it for the site... unless someone else wants to.
  20. Set-Up: As a child, Anakin Skywalker was speculated to be The One to bring balance to the Force, but, ultimately, let power and hate corrupt him. As Lord Vader, Skywalker terrorized the galaxy, eliminating every other Jedi in the process. He's the commanding officer of the entire Imperial fleet, and lets no mistake go unpunished. Agent Smith was just another computer program created to eliminate anyone who would dare destroy the Matrix -- the computer generated dream world. However, much like Skywalker, Smith let power corrupt absolutely, broke free from the Matrix, and became Hell-bent on destroying everyone -- as well as the Matrix. Fearing that Skywalker is The One (who is prophesied to bring humanity back to the top of the food chain and destroy the Matrix) Smith attacks Vader while he rests in his chamber. Place: Executor, Darth Vader's Super Star Destroyer Notes: Assume that even the Star Wars Universe is set within the Matrix, and that Neo (and his friends) have yet to be born/created. Vader has full use of the Force, and his lightsaber. Smith can manipulate the physics of the world/Matrix (as he could in the first film), and has his guns.
  21. Invisible Man, because Flash can't catch what he can't see.
  22. (source) What the holy Hell is going on? This is, quite frankly, bizarre. Not that I disagree with the promotion, it just seems like an odd place for an ad. I mean, who the Hell can see a 4' x 4' ad besides the basemen? A better idea would have been to give away free Spider-Man comic books or bobble-heads. EDIT: Mods, if you feel this should be in the General Discussion or Marvel forum, feel free to move it.
