Supergirl is missing from that list.
Also Netflix is making Altered Carbon as a 10 episode series.
I LOVE this book! -
I'm in. This looks great. And as a friend of mine said, this is the best use of a Queen song since Highlander.
-
I didn't even know it had been airing. And I was waiting for it.

Steven Moffat has said he's actively helping to find his replacement as showrunner.
I want to be excited but I'm worried that whoever he chooses is going to be more of the same.
Well, if he asks Mark Gatiss and he says yes, that would be different.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes & Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: These are good movies, carried ably by Andy Serkis' performance as Caesar. If anyone else had been in that role, I don't if they would be half as good as they are.

If you want proof that Fox has declared the Fantastic 4 franchise dead, look at the Empire X-Men universe cast photo. Now look at the original picture with the Fantastic 4 cast in it. I guess they figured since nobody saw it, nobody would notice it was changed.
Don't they have to make another one in a few years to keep the rights?

Bridge of Spies: Decent movie, well worth a watch. Mostly for Hanks' performance and his belief that everyone deserves access to the law, even Russian spies in the midst of the Cold War.

You never know, He might possess a body for a while that looks like Mads before revealing his true form.
-
I have said this before - quite possibly on this thread - but if he doesn't say "By the hoary hosts of Hoggoth!" or "By The Flames of Faltine!" I will consider this movie a failure.
-
Having watched the special, I can now say that Moffat achieved something I thought impossible.
He made me like River Song. -
I just hope this movie proves that R rated super hero movies are profitable.
With all the Deadpool fanboys out there, I'm sure it will be. How else would you explain the new Gwenpool comic?

Force Awakens
-
It's Deadpool, of course the humour is going to be irritating.
I normally don't like the character at all, but with the perfect casting of Ryan Reynolds, I think I will be seeing this movie. -
Pretty Deadly Trade Paperback Vol 1: I've read it twice now and I still have idea what the hell was going on. Interesting though. Might pick up the second volume.
Lucifer #1: I loved the first series, what had a pretty definitive end point to it, with Lucifer giving up nearly all his power and going off to explore oblivion, pausing only to give his father the finger one last time for luck. Now we're back and so is he. It's definitely a continuation on from that because he has the scar Mazikeen gave him and no power. God appears to be dead and Lucifer is pissed because he wanted to do it. So now he wants to find out who got there before him. The only question would be; which god? The original, who gave up his position to a girl called Elaine (god 2.0), or Elaine herself? Judging by everyone's attitude, it seems to be the original. But why would that matter of he handed over responsibility and left reality with someone else in charge? Going to give this a couple of issues to see if they answer these questions.
TDKIII: Ugh. All it did was remind me why I hated the second miniseries. And how much I loved the first.
The Mighty Thor #2: AKA The All-Loki-All-The-Time issue. I think they're drawing him like Hiddleston. I plan to stick around because I want to see if everyone finds out Jane is Thor and that being Thor is killing her. Especially Odin. -
The operative word is 'could'.
-
No Idea if this is accurate, but apparently...
The Stormtrooper that Rey mindcontrolled was played by Daniel Craig
-
I think we are going to get a lot of payoffs in future movies. They've set of the world, and left some mysteries for later. I think that's why I have some questions about certain things that happened. They will be explained later.
Hopefuly we'll get more Phasma too.

Scrolling down my Facebook feed today, I can't help but notice that the hate has begun to flow.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens: That's a fucking Star Wars movie right there. Top to fucking bottom.
Films Watched: 187
Repeats: 3
Damn right it was. Sitting there was like being back in 1977.

Speaking of being the Force sensitive one. How exactly is it that someone who up until that point had no idea that she was even remotely approaching being force sensitive, manage to:
a) Block another, considerably more experienced force user - even if it was Emo Vader
b) mind-manipulate a stormtrooper - something we've only seen Obi-Wan do
c) manage to use a lightsaber well enough - or indeed at all - to beat Emo Vader. And I don't buy the excuse that he was bleeding out from Chewie's bow shooter. She'd never even seen one before finding it in the chest.
For that matter, how the hell did Fin manage to use a lightsaber, when it was pretty much established very early on that he can only use a blaster? -
"Are you the really the Han Solo who did the Kesel Run in fourteen parsecs?"
"Twelve!" -
They're bringing Vixen live? Yay!
-
Han knew what would happen when he walked out on that bridge. But he had to do it because that was his child and he still loved him despite everything. I didn't think Han Solo could be any more of a bad ass hero, but that walk proved me wrong.
And Harrison Ford sold it perfectly. -
Seen it. Loved it. It was like sitting in the theatre in 1977 all over again, watching the titles scroll up the screen. It's nice to be able to just sit there and gape in wonder. I missed it.
The Doctor Who thread
in Horror, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy
Posted
To honest, it was time for some new blood in charge. But It doesn't matter to me one way or the other who comes in. It's Doctor Who. I will watch it no matter what.
