Bit more detail

It's a trailer, its supposed to make the film look good. I will reserve judgement until the film actually comes out and the word of mouth from those who've seen it circulates.

Translation: Moffat went to BBC and told them he'd quit if they didn't knock off that movie shit Moffat shares the same conviction that I do. Glad to hear it!

The trailer looks awesome. But that immediately makes me suspicious and utterly convinced that the film either be (a) crap or (b) nowhere near as good as the trailer promises. And before you take me to task about my pessimism about such things, the last trailer I thought that about was Sucker Punch.

In regards to Peri and Nicola Bryant's apparently atrocious american accent, there is something I will have to come clean about. For the longest time I believed that Nicola Bryant was American. The only time I've ever heard her speak was in Doctor Who, when she had the accent. I forget now how I found out that she was in fact British, but it can't be more than a couple of years ago.

It was more Michael Grade than anything. When the man responsible for programming decides a show should go, it goes. The fact they got 5 more seasons past him is nothing short of a miracle.

Yes, but does that mean the 50th anniversary special will be The Fall Of The Eleventh and the Revelation of The Name and the subsequent Silence

Despite my better judgement, I really like Justice League. It's the little things that do it for me, like the very brief exchange between Wonder Woman and Superman in #3, as well as Aquaman in the last panel.

And keep RTD away from it. At gunpoint if necessary. Edit: update on this is basically "Movie? What Movie?"

Let me see. A Doctor Who movie being prepped in America? I have horrible visions of a Doctor with a US accent, or a Young Doctor adventure. Or worse yet, a twilighted Doctor. No. It will only be properly Doctor Who if it has a british cast, a british crew and a british writer. I'm all for a bigger budget or more locations than just in and around Cardiff, but DW has a uniquely british flavor to it. Take that away, and it will not truly be Doctor Who. Surely we all remember the Fox TV movie? I forsee a trainwreck.

Of course it does, its the trailer. That's its job. This has all the makings of a trainwreck.

even better, we got to see why Kovarian was wearing an eyepatch. However... why were no humans killing Silents (or whatever they're called considering Silence is the name of the Order) on sight like they were programmed to do?
