Pertwee into Baker.

So, outside of a Tardis showing up outside right now, this could be the best Birthday present the universe has ever given me.
If they announce any news on the Good Omens Project - such as a cast list or a filming date - that would cover Christmas as well...

The Doctor: I don't suppose you've completely ignored my instructions and secretly prepared any Nitro-9, have you?
Ace: What if I had?
The Doctor: Naturally, you wouldn't do anything so insanely dangerous as to carry it around with you, would you?
Ace: Of course not. I'm a good girl. I do what I'm told.
The Doctor: Excellent. Blow up that vehicle.
I love the Seventh Doctor/Ace era so much.
Me too Ace was just awesome!

Can't see them from the UK

As cool as that is, the original line was so much more bad ass!
The exploding spaceships behind him just added a bit extra..

Do you hear that? That's the sound of a hundred thousand fanfic writers... um... finishing.
I did pop into a couple of DW fic sites after Saturday. The River/Amy one is very very quiet and the one dedicated to general DW slash had a discussion thread, includng some writers who'd written Amy/River and who were feeling a little icky.
But since when has two characters having a direct family relationship ever stopped Slashfic writers for long...

If they did a series of specials for the 50th year, I would love to see each one starring various living (and willing) Doctors. Davison's already been back and Eccleston won't return, so that leaves both Bakers, McCoy, McGann, and Tennant. Five Doctors spread out over five specials -- Christmas 2012, New Year's Day, Easter, mid-summer, and Thanksgiving -- could work. Best of all, Thanksgiving 2013 is only five days after the 50th anniversary. They should bring back old companions, too.
I doubt they'll do this, but a fanboy can dream.
Last I heard Colin Baker was in an 'over my dead body' frame of mind over doing anything Doctor related for the BBC. I know he's doing the Big Finish stuff, but that's not Auntie Beeb.
Course, he might have softened a bit by now...

There's another mystery. Melody was born in.. what? the 50-ish century? How do the Silence get hold of her back in 1969?

My three word review: Rory. Motherfucking. Williams.
Word.

I think I yelled with glee a dozen times!
The first one that had me cheering was "Would you like me to repeat it again?" Arthur Darvil brought his game to that one
And then there was almost everything Strax said. "Don't slump, it's bad for the posture."
-
As long as he's not trying to get Melody back for the whole next half of the season I'll be happy.
TBH, I think Rory and Amy will be leaving soon anyway. Arthur has work in the theatre and Karen has a couple of movies lined up.
-
And Rory gets the best line of the episode.

Just an odd thought but when the Doctor swapped shoes with the ganger Doctor to fool Amy. Does that now mean the Doctor is running around in shoes made of ganger flesh?
Heh, I had the same thought. And they would have gone back to soup when he de-fleshed GangerAmy.
I am beginning to suspect that the Docter who was killed by the Astronaut is the ganger.
-
Unless Quentin Tarantino directed the episode the title is not a spoiler
So where should I be looking?
-
I had to look up the title of the next episode. God damned hilarious.
I havs steadfastly avoided DW spoilers and have been mostly sucessful. I want to be surprised dammit
That said, I hope they wrap this one up, and we don't spend the second half of the season chasing after the bad guys who've escaped at the last moment with the baby and/or Amy.
That said, I think I know what the throwaway line is: According to those teases, Demons Run is apparently the home of the Headless Monks. The Doctor and Amy visited the biggest museum in the universe, which according to the Doctor was the last resting place of the Headless Monks.

Mike, why not write that fanfic anyway? It sounds like an extremely good idea for a story and it would make a huge change from all the fics out there which are either shipper fic (usually 10/Rose or 11/Rose,but not always. Although I think the Amy/River stories are about to die out very soon.) or literally putting themselves or a mary sue in with the Doctor.
-
Still a good idea. It'll give people a chance to miss them..
-
-
The name of Amy's daughter is Melody. So now I've read people jump to Pond = River Melody = Song
That actually makes sense. Weird that Moffat would make it so obvious though..
-
Could they have done it in a one parter? Probably, but I think the two parter set up the tension for those last two minutes.
And re: said last two minutes.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
Yah, that was pretty much my reaction as well. I was watching happily right up till the last minute, and then... well, I'm sure you can guess. I think my brain started dribbling out of my ears. I haven't been that surprised by this show since Derek Jacobi turned over his broken watch...
As of now, I will fight to the death to defend Moffat as Showrunner.
-
I've seen most of them.
Honestly, there isn't much to work with.
This pretty much sums them up. Stay away from the Superman and Wonder Woman one.
The Wonder Woman one has Tori Black in it as WW. That's reason enough to watch it...
It was horrible.
Don't care. Let me repeat: Tori Black

Wouldn't be the first time they've done one.
... why did I just admit to knowing that.
I know an 'adult' cable channel here in the UK did a softcore/hard-ish version a few years ago, but I've never seen it. Is there another one?

This is why the show was doomed from the start.
It could have been the most well-written, captivating piece of television ever conceived, but people would have been infinitely more concerned with whether or not her boots were the right colour.
The show was doomed because it wasn't the most well-written, captivating piece of television ever conceived. In fact all reports suggest it was awful beyond words.
And the costume was wrong.

Indeed. And it's about time he came back for another try. He's obviously operating on the Third Time Lucky principle...
