I kinda like Superman III.
With all due respect, that movie was as campy as any of the 80's-90's Batman movies ever were.

Wasn't one of the guys who got crushed by the pillar Harold? Or was it Kumar? Crap, now I'm thinking about this movie again.

In other news...
The burqa has now been outlawed in France.
Found this interesting:
Clear majorities also backed burqa bans in Germany, Britain and Spain, while two out of three Americans opposed it, the survey found.Wait a minute. I thought America was just made up of intolerant bigots. That's what the news keeps telling me, anyway. Now I'm so confused...
Shows you can't beleive everything you hear.

It's the 20th anniversary. They're also re-releasing the show on DVD there. Of course, no word on the US and all.
My bet is any deal Toei makes will be contingent on the entire series being licensed. Which, of course, includes StarS, which they've been pretty reluctant to touch Stateside. So.
I think you mean SailorStars.
20th anny aint for a couple of years (manga and anime began in 1992). Serena/Usagi's birthday is June 30th. I think it's random cause for celebration.
So that would make Usagi what, 32 in real time?

Oh please can they explain it all away with this?
Suddenly Infinite Crisis seems a lot less complicated by comparison.

hell yeah someone that agrees with me ty drqshadow!!! lol all I can say anymore is this:
iTunes ROCKS!!!!! NUFF SAID!!!
I started the thread because of the event that apple held yesterday and with all the new products and stuff that they were releasing I think it's awesome that they added the genius thing to iTunes it's wicked cool
the new iPod Nano's look cool as hell too
my only complaint is I wish they had a 60G iPhone lol or sometthing more then 16G ugh!!
I have to agree. Then again, I joined the Mac bandwagon about three years ago.

That's pretty good.

The truth is, the track record on superhero movies is spotty at best. Even the good ones, like the Richard Donner Superman films, had flaws. For a few years, it seemed like filmmakers had finally gotten it right with the first two X-Men and Spiderman films. Then the third films in these series came out, and Superman Returns was made. Sad to say, I'll almost be happy if it just doesn't suck.

As long as it doesn't have Superman as a whiny emo stalker, it has promise.

Warm wishes for the day of your birth.

Finished Dexter season 4. John Lithgow needs his own show.....like tomorrow. It also has to be on cable.
Wasn't he on Third Rock From the Sun for a few years?

Missing your train is shit. Missing your train by ten seconds is worse. Realising the next train isn't for another half an hour, that is just plain shit.
Realizing that your plane doesn't take off for another four hours isn't too swell either.

Yeah, Ash never evolving Pikachu was dumb. "You're too cute to have better stats!" Eat a pile of dicks, Ketchum.
Would those count as Haloween candy?

The three listed were considered for the film at one time or another. People need some glasses up in this thread.
I'm wearing mine right now, thank you, but fair enough. That still doesn't make me any more optomistic about it. After all, Smallville is a televised reboot, and I hate what they've done with that.
-
If they chose one of those three listed for consideration, it's not just a no. It's a hell no.

Che never looked better. (Except when he became a corpse, of course.)

Voted as well.

As to Beast Boy deciding to go after Mallah and have Robin snag the Brain, I actually thought that built on what they were doing. The trope is always main hero captures main villain, but in reality (if you'll pardon the phrase) sometimes it makes more sense for Superman to fight the giant killer robot and let Maggie Sawyer tackle Lex Luthor. Beast Boy wanted to capture the Brain, but he's also been stepping up to the plate and showing leadership and determination. He looks at the Brain and Mallah, and at himself and Robin, and makes assignments based on how to best accomplish his goal. I thought that actually fit with the leadership he'd already shown - part of being a good leader is picking the right person for the job. It's not how you usually see a superhero story play out, but I like that sometimes, especially when it plays into the character development they'd been doing for BB.
Exactly what I was going for, but said much more eloquently.
I thought if was very Batman-like for Robin to let Beast Boy continue to take the lead against Mallah and the Brain.

Could the briefcase be an homage to Pulp Fiction?
I'd have to think so. I hate unexposed content plot devices though. That, combined with the utterly superfluous Red X, compound the ending to this episode.

For those that need their fix NOW NOW NOW of Mike talking about the next batch of episodes. I refer you to Earth-2.net: The Show Episode 12. Looking forward to see how the review styles and opinions changed from then to now.
That's a good point. I've heard that, and it was interesting to hear his opinion of the episodes so long before World's Finest began. I have my own thoughts about the last episode of Teen Titans, but I'll let that wait until the next episode posts.

Death is more awesome than Abby. Let that sink in.
I don't think I can. Wow.
-
"Death is a perky, punk goth girl."
I wonder why Mike likes her so much more than Dream.
So death is Abby from NCIS? I like her better already.

Best part of that con picture? The Punishers murdered Gwen Stacey. Not that I hate Gwen, I love Gwen, it's just, they killed the mundy in the crowd.
The lesson here: never clone the Punisher. He will murder every single character in the Marvel universe. All of them.

Dr. Light will gain the power of the aurora borealis. Wow. He can now make green, blue, AND purple. But only if you're far enough north. Remind me why no one takes him seriously?
Haha, you have no idea how hard it was to not make some offhand remark about how goofy it sounded for me to say, "so he can gain the power of the aurora borealis."
Although, to be fair, green, blue, and purple gives him half the awesome power of... The Rainbow Raider!
You just can't take it seriously. "We're under attack...by rainbows."
