  1. Didn't that same thing happen to Tom Deja's Facebook page?

    Yep.

San Diego Comic-Con had Starro masks. Think about the brilliance of that for a second.

Wow. That's creative, I'll give it that.

  2. The best example of cosplay weirdness I ever heard was of a 400 lbs man dressed as Sailor Jupiter. Not Sailor Moon. Sailor Jupiter. To the point where the guy would angrily point out which one of them he was.

  3. To say that they're beating a dead horse would be inadequate. They've shot, buried, dug up, and repeatedly violated the horse.

You will fit in VERY well here!!

On topic: I'm so glad this is Mike's cross to bear. Not to ignore James or Dubs, but Mike has hated this franchise since Episode #1 of The Show. I'll take 1000 Batman & Robins over the Saw franchise.

    Thanks! :)

And at least Batman & Robin had a plot. It SUCKED, but it was a plot, rather than "let's see how disgusting and gory we can be".

  4. This video gives us a solid time line for when batman beyond takes place: 2039, does that mean JLU takes place in 1989?

    My link

and this video reminds me why I love BTAS, I remember when I was a wee tot how incredible it was to take in the show, as I was only 2 when it aired, so I actually started avidly watching in the KidsWb days. I remember I set the VCR to record the Demon's Quest, and I later taped the other 2 Ra's al Ghul episodes on to it. (The WB store used to sell vhs tapes focusing on each character. I had the Batman, Robin, and Riddler tapes but I was pissed their wasn't a Ra's one. This may be the best promo ever, it makes me miss staying up late (or what seemed late to me at the time) to watch Toonami.

How COULD it take place in 1989? The technology, especially the computers, are WAY too advanced for that.

  5. Have you ever wanted to see a nearly nude man dressed as Pikachu? Yeah, neither did I, but I thought I'd share nonetheless:

Wow. In every sense of the word, WTF?

  6. Greetings, Mike and James. I'm a little new here, but I thought I'd humbly give my opinion on a disagreement I have with one of your reviews.

I'm not sure why I seem to be the only one who likes Titan Rising. The plan Slade set up was a little contrived, but at the same time, he accomplished exactly what he set out to do: force Terra to save the day and gain the trust of the Titans. With the Tower collapsing into the ground, Terra's powers are tailor made to save the day, but only if Raven trusts her. When she comes back at the beginning of the episode, Raven isn't the only one who has doubts. She's just the only one who's willing to say what no one else will. At the endof the episode though, Terra has the confidence of the entire team.

As to Raven herself, I never found her behavior that confusing, especially when considering that she, Terra, and Beast Boy constituted a love triangle. Terra ran out on them and hurt BB, so Raven held a grudge, and she wasn't going to just let her back in. Besides, Raven has always been a bit guarded with her trust of others, which was reinforced by the vision she had when Terra bumped into her.

Yes, there were some animation flaws, but as was stressed in Aftershock, there are some flaws in that one as well. Titan Rising in my opinion is one of the stronger episodes of the second season, as it ultimately proves Raven's skepticism correct, as Terra could not have gained control of her powers that much on her own. The first and liast lines of the episode provide great forshadowing, as we would so soon learn.

I love your show, and look forward to future reviews.

    P.S.

Teen Titans is TOTALLY in continuity.
