I love Escape from L.A. so much it's kind of frightening. I actually own it on DVD. It will never see the light of the Tirades.
It was just pointed out to me that "Escape From New York" is considered a cult movie so the sequel/remake/parody of the movie would probably still be against the rules.

I liked your review of "Jingle all the Way."

May he rest in peace. Especially since Peace is what he brought to a country known for violence.

Wait, fart jokes are highbrow humor?

My sixth month old seems to respond a lot to Servo, which might be because he looks like a rattle.
In "Hobgoblins" there is a gum-ball machine in the background and Servo identifies it as his mom, telling "her" to get out of that scene.

Wills analysis of Schroeder makes me curious about how Charlie Brown and his gang would look grown up. I am hesitant about classifying him at his current age since he is the second youngest character in the series (next to Rerun). My parents freaked out when I learned from my first grade classmates that girls are icky. My dad actually had to talk with me in private about how I should like girls. Fortunately he didn't repeat it when I told them I was asexual.
I think it is a huge mistake when Christian Children's shows have God shown in a land of make believe. Because the children will expect the voice of God to be a booming voice and flashing light, rather than that feeling inside, whether or not it is God, your conscience or the result of your upbringing.

Paul Walker died in a car accident.
I know it's not funny but I swear, all things considered, it's just... of all the ways for the guy who made his career off of car chase movies to die...
I remember when George Harrison died, my parents paid their respects by playing his first solo album. I won't be surprised if my sister will do something similar with a Fast and Furious marathon.

Will, on this site, you basically have the podcast version of MST3K with the Tranquil Tirades.
I find miself wondering if James and Dubs were inspired by MST3K.
Dubs made a reference to the "Space Mutiny" episode in their review of "Battlefield Earth."

Every once in a while he reminds me of the Chris O'Donnell Robin from the Schumacher movies. The green domino mask over eyes shadow doesn't help.

I'm just saying that the ads, and the first episode, were mostly tease with a lead who can barely act but he looks pretty so girls will like him.
I think this is a requirement for being on CW.
There is regular ugly, there is hollywood ugly and then there is CW ugly which is look like a supermodel with one cool scar.

Miami, home to Dexter Morgan and countless "Miami Vice" puns. However one grad student finds himself apart from this paradise. Confused on how people panic over global warming yet still save on beachside property and keep driving muscle cars, he searches for a place that takes action rather than spreads panic.
Okay, joking aside here is a link to some things I am selling on Ebay.

Also I am willing to do art commissions. I have already posted some fan art in the past.
Normally Comissions go for $25 but for anyone in the Earth-2.net community I am offering $7 for any commissions. That includes Titlecards, memes, single page comics.
Let me know via Private message if you want any further details.

<epilogue>
Can anyone give me an example of another show whose theme was recycled as the Olympic Highlights segment?

Most of Bleach and to be fair, most Anime. Those guys really know how to get you hyped for a show.
100% agreed! To that end I name these anime titles as pools of awesome:
Cowboy Bebop intro - goes without saying
Fullmetal Alchemist - ALL intros and outros, esp the one with Winry singing with the dog
Outlaw Star - Intro is space-shooting fun and both outros kick serious ass
Trigun Intro
Azumanga Daioh - tell me your head doesn't nod
Dragonball Z - guilty pleasures
Naruto - "We are fighting dreamers"
Bleach outro "Thank You" - Beautiful
Okay, my head does nod. Whenever I cannot put into words what makes it so catchy but it does.
I agree on DBZ. I listen to the Japanese intro and "Ai wi torimodose" from Fist of the North Star intro whenever I work out.

Freaks and Geeks (they're ALL high, right?)
Could be, I still find it better entertainment than "That 70's Show."

I never factored how offensive Radcliffe and his henchman are (shows you how long it has been since I watched this movie).
I have seen movie buffs love to hate on Mel Gibson, I have seen American History buffs love to hate on John Smith. That means the casting was more appropriate than they realized.

Dexter- just the right blend of playful and thematic.
Masters of Sex- so blatant they're hilarious.
Buck Rogers in the 25th Century
The Raccoons (end theme)
Star Trek Enterprise series 3 and 4. Oh wait, no they're the WORST.
Now that you mentioned Buck Rogers and Star Trek let me add in Firefly.
And I have to agree with you on the anime part.

I wanted to say that I loved your guys talk on the number of the Beast. Growing up in a conservative Christian atmosphere I was always told that "666" was the number of the beast. Later I heard that an ancient dump site in Egypt was excavated and had some of the earliest drafts of the Gospel. That was where I heard that the number of the beast was actually "616" (when I heard Mike bring up the Marvel universe I really wanted to hug him).
I agree with Mike and how much gets lost in translation. I feel embarrassed to say that I used to give power to a number. In high school, whenever classmates identified me as "the Christian" they would occasionally drop "666" to see me flinch. Now it has as much shock to me as someone telling me that they have the necronomicon. Since I can get like five different books claiming to be the real necronomicon on the bargain shelf at any used bookstore, it now seems really silly to me.
Also, I believe he was right about God sending the Four Horsemen.

Thank you Dave and Ian. Now whenever I hear Ultraviolet I am free to think of something else than that awful Milla Jovovich movie.

Today I went to the university gym. Over there I complemented a man on his arm tattoo. I may have been the only one to recognize the letters were Kryptonian.

Two I'd recommend for someone new.

Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio. Eddie plays a great cocky heel and Mysterio is the fighting babyface. They work at a fast enough pace to never feel boring.

Antonio Cesaro vs Sami Zayn. A very recent match that I could only find the highlights from, but also should give you a good idea if you want to dig further.
Those are entertaining matches.
I do not know what a chromatic flugelhorn is, and I am reluctant to look it up. I am picturing a Frank Qutiely illustration of Willy Wonka driving an instrument, designed by Dr. Seuss, that changes the color of your clothes every time a new note is played.

Well, I made it. My car broke down on the way out. It cost me around $400. to get it fixed. Only to realize it had $1100 worth of additional essential work. I eventually sold it for pennies on the dollar, and rented a car. I left yesterday at noon from Cocoa Florida and currently am at a McDonalds in Indiana. I went 1000 miles in seventeen hours. I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I have managed to escape from Miami.
