  1. First trailer for the Day of the Doctor on BBC1 tomorrow night. Should be good, hopefully we'll get the time and then cinemas can sell the tickets
  2. The BBC have released photos for the Day of the Doctor - the most interesting as far as I can see is the one of John Hurt by himself.
  3. Seriously? Seriously! Australia can now find out where they can see Doctor Who in the cinema while there is NOTHING in the UK http://blogtorwho.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/50th-3d-cinema-screening-details.html
  4. Like I said, for Doctor Who it's a stupid thing to do. But as a general advertising thing it kinda works, you don't forget a show is coming on because you only have two weeks to know about it. But seriously I WANT TO BUY MY CINEMA TICKETS
  5. Yup, if the Doctor thought he was important enough to invite to the beach to watch him die then he was probably someone they should know about. Canton tells them his full name because that way they can find him
  6. It's the BBC's thing to only announce times 2 weeks before the show starts. The idea is that short time doesn't allow for the hype to die down, and in general that's fine and clever but for something like this the hype isn't going to die down. However in cases like this when it's being shown the same day as BBC America that system fails, and now even less so because of the SIMULTANEOUS broadcast, BBC America hasn't just told us the date it's given us the time which makes this clever advertising stupid.
  7. Just want to quickly point out they go to the Oval Office becuase the Doctor is tracking Canton (because River mentioned him), and if you're tracking an EX-FBI agent when he's in a meeting with the president is probably the most interesting time to do it.
  8. Dammit BBC officially announce the time for Doctor Who so the cinemas can release tickets. I'm bored of stalking the internet now... Plus it's not like we don't know we've all worked it out from the time BBC America have said. Gah (rant over)
  9. This story is really kicking off now (I only hope it isn't the BBC playing the game to remind people that Doctor Who is a thing). BBC Enterntainment news are running the story http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-24448063
  10. Unfortunately Rosie and I have a sad announcement to make, as much as we are loving planning this story (and we really are) due to university, home lives and looking for a job we just cannot feasibly get it finished but the 23rd November. Hell we haven't even started writing it yet or talking beyond ideas, we are still planning on writing this story but as we can't get it done in time we're going to have to bow out.
  11. But then you won't be able to read them all out!
  12. I know exactly what you mean, I'm stalking the cinema I'm planning on seeing it in. The minute those tickets go on sale they are going to sell out and DAMN it one of those tickets is mine!
  13. Soooo what with all the news about the 50th birthday of my favourite show I'm starting to get excited again.

  14. There's the three Doctors, the five Doctors and the two Doctors where they meet up with previous regenerations. And they do it a few times in Big Finish. Also we have more news on what the BBC are doing to celebrate: Radio 1 are doing a TROCK show Radio 2 are doing a Blaggers guide to Doctor Who and Graham Norten is doing his show from the Excel Convention. BBC3 are doing a monsters and villians countdown and an ultimate guide to Doctor Who as well as one other thing they have yet to announce. And CBBC are doing some stuff as well as a couple of Blue Peter shows. Why is it not November yet? (Ignoring the fact that means Rosie and I need to have actually written our story for the Doctor Who Draft)
  15. And Brain Cox looking at the science and the culture show looking at how it's made an impact on British Culture and the radio show.... AND ALL THE RECORDING THAT WEEKEND. I've warned my parents that if they don't record everthing I am going to kill them - same rules apply if they delete them off the box before I can move them onto my hard drive
  16. They released a schedule of shows they were doing as well... that's also been taken down. Is someone going to be fired over an epic mistake? Or is it simply that it crashed? Also the shows they are doing that weekend look epic!
  17. Matt and his hat are awesome, and I agree about Faile. She was cool and then she decided to marry Perrin who annoyed me most of the way through. Honestly dude get over the fact you're a Wolfbrother and move on. Your friend is having to go through learning how to use the One Power and the Taint and all you can do is complain and try to ignore the wolves.
  18. I love Wheel of Time, got into it when I was 11ish, they're a great series and one I contanstly recommend to friends - providing they can cope with EPIC fantasy series. I love Egwene and Siuan and Lan. What about you?
  19. It's not ready yet and is mainly just in the talking about it part of production. However we thought by emailing in and letting you guys know that we then wouldn't be able to back out of it. We have however got a fair few characters lined up including ones we love - Rory, Ianto, Jamie... and at least one that we (I) hate - Gwen
  20. Just to quickly explain the reference about the final flourish was going back to Books Without Pictures Handmaiden's Tale: Part A. I emailed in to say I loved it and finished it off with our normal P.S saying Rosie was going to get round to listening at some time, when Wendee commented that we seem fond of P.S's Dan said he liked that final flourish on the email.
  21. So Rosie and I have been talking (as we sometimes do) and we think that with the 12th Doctor we'd like to see a return of the Ian/Captain Jack character and the Doctor to be quite annoyed about the fact that it's needed, he's not needed someone to play that part for a while but he's now an older man doing all the running around and fighting would be a bit harder. So what would you guys want to see with the 12th Doctor?
  22. Brilliant choice, I can't wait to see what's going to happen. I really didn't think it was going to be him, thinking the BBC would stick to the idea of having an unknown actor in the role. But I'm glad I'm wrong (I've been telling people it wouldn't be him for the past couple of weeks for a while) Although one minor point in my mind he's the stupid politician guy from Torchwood Children of Earth who was running the damn thing and was the one to give the 'blank sheet' order to Jack. PLEASE let the Doctor meet up with Jack again or someone who would have known that character (I can't remember his name) and for it to be mentioned.
  23. Well fingers crossed the story is actually worth 90mins and isn't just padding. Fair play to the BBC showing it simulatienously across the world, I'm in Cardiff that weekend and with my best mate and we're going to see it in th ecinema with my young cousins after going to the Doctor Who experience. There should be a great atmosphere in Cardiff.
