  1. Lena Headey ("Imagine Me & You") has landed the plum leading role in the Fox pilot "The Sarah Connor Chronicles." Project, from Warner Bros. TV, continues the "Terminator" movie franchise storyline by focusing on Sarah and her son John, as they fight attackers from the future in present-day Los Angeles. Headey takes over the role made famous by Linda Hamilton in the first two "Terminator" films. Headey's credits include the features "The Brothers Grimm," "The Cave" and "Ripley's Game." She appeared in the telepics "The Gathering Storm" and "The Lonely War," as well as the mini "Merlin." Josh Friedman will write and David Nutter is set to direct the "Sarah Connor" pilot.

She's also in 300. She does look like she can hold her own in a fight.

  2. I  evil Spidey. Throwing the grenade at Harry? AWESOME.

And that trailer had almost no signs of Venom, so hopefully its just something that happens in the end.

That's exactly what I thought. They showed Venom to the hardcore comic fans, but didn't even put him in the real trailer. It must be a really small part.

  3. My one gripe comes in the form of Lyle, who has to be retarded or a sociopath. First he stole Claire's tape and watched it for no good reason, then he used a stapler on her hand. I mean, who does that; who randomly watches every tape they find and then attempts to maim their sibling?

I actually got to watch it tonight, and I was thinking the same thing when he grabbed the tape to watch it. He doesn't come off as a brat who likes to terrorize his sister, so he had no reason to take the tape and watch it like he did. The only reason I can think of is that he knew something was up with her, and wanted to find out what.

His reaction didn't make sense either. He stapled her hand, and calls her a freak? I would imagine that his reaction would have been more like it was the coolest thing ever.

  4. Here is the new one:

I'm a little disappointed in the video games. No new X-Men Legends or Marvel Ultimate Alliance games scheduled for next year. I bet that will changed though.

  5. SEGA® of America Inc., SEGA® Europe Ltd. and Marvel Entertainment, Inc. announced today that they have entered into a worldwide licensing agreement whereby SEGA has secured the exclusive rights to develop and distribute video game titles for all platforms based on Marvel's renowned "Iron Man" property. Under the multi-year agreement, SEGA has been granted the exclusive interactive rights to develop and distribute games based on both Marvel's Iron Man feature films and the classic comic book iterations of the character. The "Iron Man" agreement represents the first step in a strategic partnership between Marvel and SEGA to bring at least one additional Marvel Super Hero property to next-gen platforms.

The first "Iron Man" project produced under the license agreement will be based on Marvel Studios' highly-anticipated Iron Man feature film starring Academy Award® Nominees Robert Downey Jr. and Terrence Howard, and directed by Jon Favreau. This project, the first feature film to be produced independently by Marvel Entertainment, will blast into theaters May 2, 2008.

I know one person on here will be pretty happy about this. The question is will he still like Iron Man after what they are turning him into during CW?

  6. While the new Spider-Man 3 trailer will be shown on TV during MTV's "Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Duel" at 10p.m. ET on Thursday, you'll be able to watch the trailer online at iFilm at that time as well! The trailer will then play in theaters with Casino Royale starting November 17.

I can't wait to see what they put in the new trailer.

AICN had these pics up and Sony had them removed. They are early concept art.

  7. A dreadful script this site reviewed a few months back totally reinvented the beloved Green Lantern superhero into a bumbling idiot who, with his “Fear Factor-like” tactics, receives the power ring and the battery (lantern) to become the Green Lantern.

The reactions from fans everywhere was the same, unequivocal outrage that D.C. would ever even consider taking this approach with one of the most beloved comic book superheroes.

Well, it looks like the studio and D.C. comics have heard the fans and have decided against taking that route.

Speaking with Jack Black today, during the Tenacious D: Pick of Destiny junket, we had to ask for an update on The Green Lantern.

He admits that there was a script written for him, but, the fans had not reacted favorably to the idea of him playing the hero. So, as of now, it’s not something that is moving forward. Can you say big sigh of relief for the fans?

I'm so glad Jack Black understood how pissed people would have been about this.

  8. Well, it's official now. They couldn't find another studio that would take it.

As was previously confirmed, we deeply regret that both Universal and Fox did not choose to move forward with financing the Halo film under the original terms of the agreement. At this time Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, along with their partner, Microsoft, have mutually agreed to postpone making a feature film based on the Halo video game universe until we can fulfill the promise we made to millions of Halo fans throughout the world that we would settle for no less than bringing a first class film to the big screen. We are fully supportive of Director Neill Blomkamp's vision of the film. Neill is a tremendously gifted filmmaker and his preliminary work on Halo is truly awe-inspiring. While it will undoubtedly take a little longer for Halo to reach the big screen, we are confident that the final feature film will be well worth the wait.

My question is why did they sign on in the first place if it was such a bad deal? These studio guys aren't morons.

  9. I used to get excited about new FF games, but not anymore. They all have the same formula.

    1. Repetitive fighting until it gets boring

    2. A story so complicated that it's hard to follow

    3. About halfway through the game you stop everything and have to play mini games if you want the best weapons in the game

I admit I would get the new one if I had the extra cash, but my 360 and Wii preorder are sucking the money dry.

btw, I have played the demo that comes with DQ8, and it does seem different then the rest, but I'm sure it will still follow the above formula.

  10. There are review copies out there. How do you think it got all those rave reviews?

I just finished watching it, and I am still in shock. Very powerfull stuff. First off, the girl playing the lead is great. She looks almost exactly like Natalie Portman in The Professional, and gives off the same vibe. The creatures and effects were very good, and are like the McFarland version of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It was alot more gory than I thought it would be. Don't bring the kids unless you want to give them nightmares.

There are two stories in the movie. One being a war story, and the other being the fantasy story. They actually keep them seperate throughout the movie. It's also pretty long at almost 2 hours. The film is in Spanish, and will be subtitled for those that don't know already. I've got to go to bed so I can get up and go to work, but I'll leave some minor spoiler stuff.

    *****Spoilers below*****

The gory stuff I was talking about was stuff like beating a guys face in with a hammer, sawing off limbs, biting heads off creatures, ect. Stuff you don't normally see in a fantasy flick. Btw, it is nothing like Labyrinth or Legend.
