  1. In this episode of Big Damn Heroes, the Heroes wrap up the first season of Buffy with "The Puppet Show," "Nightmares," "Out of Mind, Out of Sight," and "Prophecy Girl." In this episode, Preston's a dick, both of them keep mistaking bit actors for other people, and Hannah can kind of believe invisibility, but can't believe the mechanics of it. Tune in and listen to them finish up the first season, and lay the way for the next. [ 1:58:55 || 54.7 MB ]

  2. Scream was my first real horror film. I was a pussy as far as the genre was concerned until seeing it on video in high school. After watching it, I devoured the other two by the end of the weekend, and started watching any other horror film I could get my hands on. A decade later, I consider myself something of a lover of the genre. That said, Scream 4 might just be the best example of wasted potential I have ever seen — and that makes me genuinely sad. This is not to say that the film is bad — there are some genuinely great moments — but every time you get one, you find yourself thinking, "Huh, they really pulled a punch there."

  3. Ian Wilson and Dave Probert tackle two more episodes of Blake's 7. In "Bounty," Blake tries to persuade an exiled President to return to his people, and the Liberator is boarded by flamboyantly dressed bounty hunters. In "Deliverance," the crew goes to the aid of a crashed ship, and Avon finds himself worshipped as Lord by a very impressionable woman. Dave rants about appropriate attire for space pirates, and Ian detects a strong similarity between one episode and a recent Doctor Who story. Plus, could gun-kata improve the show? How is Blake's 7 like Touch the Truck? And which supporting character's name becomes a slang term for genitals? [ 2:15:18 || 61.9 MB ]

  4. In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond and Darryll examine the drug-fueled, early 70s, micro-budget, killer-mutant-turkey film Blood Freak. Then Desmond does his best to review the brand new release The Violent Kind without telling you anything about the film. Some freakishly violent songs: "Blood Sucking Freaks" by The Browns, "Bleed the Freak" by Alice in Chains, "Violent Pacification" by Slayer, and "Creeping Death" by Metallica. [ 1:07:11 || 30.9 MB ]

  5. He is undoubtedly one of the most well-known voices of anime in North America, with roles like Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist, Tamaki Suoh in Ouran High School Host Club, and Zero Kiryu in Vampire Knight. Today, Vic Mignogna stops by Animezing Podcast to discuss The Risembool Rangers, YouTube videos, rumors, and much more. Speaking of rumors, Chris Comstock has a lot to say on the subject. 6. In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond recounts a tale of aural terror so grim that you will be clutching your earholes in relief that it had nothing to do with you! Then when he's done talking to you about his weekend, Darryll joins him to review the 1970s Japanese art-house horror film House out now from Criterion. Terror tunes included: "The House" by Michale Graves, "House of Suffering" by Machine Head, and "Lend me Your Ears" by Thor and The Tritonz. [ 1:06:39 || 30.7 MB ]

  7. Dan and Mike start off Tom Baker's final season of Doctor Who with "The Leisure Hive" and "Meglos," two rather forgettable stories. Before that, however, they briefly speak about "The Impossible Astronaut," Mike's new stupid theory about River Song, and Doctor Who-themed cat names. And, of course, they touch on the passing of Elisabeth Sladen. [ 1:43:56 || 47.6 MB ]

  8. In "The Avatar State," an Earth Kingdom general thinks his plan to toy with Aang's mind and body is foolproof... or is it? In "The Cave of Two Lovers," the gang meets up with a groups of nomadic hippies, and Aang and Kattara share their first kiss... or do they? Finally in "Return to Omashu," the gang returns to Omashu, which means more Bumi... or does it? [ 58:16 || 28.2 MB ]

  9. A new era begins with this episode. It's quite similar to the old era, honestly. We bought some new curtains. The fancy kind. We also begin the Shadow of the Colossus playthrough, and, shockingly, it's really good. Journalism at its finest. If that weren't enough, we have Aaron getting mean, names being changed, and more accusations of Nintendo hating. Now you're fishing with portals. [ 1:15:54 || 34.9 MB ]

  10. Megan and Desmond start this episode of with bad news and good news. The bad news is this is the penultimate episode of Married to Movies. But the good news is two great reviews await you. Big Trouble in Little China and Happy Ever Afters are the two films on the docket this week, and through reviewing them, your hosts learn a little something about each other. Make sure you send in feedback in the next couple weeks so that the final episode can go out with style. [ 44:33 || 21.8 MB ]

  11. In their second episode, the Heroes may already be quitting the show. And with episodes like "Never Kill a Boy on the First Date," "The Pack," "Angel," and "I Robot, You Jane," who can blame them? Why do Preston and Hannah keep talking about comics? Why does Xander rival Cordy for the Heroes' hatred? And just why, God, why? Listen and find out if they make it to another episode. [ 1:57:05 || 53.9 MB ]

  13. Prepare yourself for an episode of Dying in the Gutters so brimming with pimp-smack that Dracula doesn't discern between sex or even species in his indiscriminate need to wrap his fingers around your kisser. Join Desmond and Chris as they discuss Tomb of Dracula and explore monsters on the moor, children with a wanton lust for stabbing, and the introduction of perhaps the most famous vampire hunter of all. 14. Kellen and James take great pride in hitting the double sevens by looking at one of their favorite shows: NANA. In between random Simpsons quotes, comfort food, and Vancouver-based voice actors, they get some analysis of the show in, another clue about the new format is revealed, and Chris Comstock thinks he's right about something, we're just not 100% sure what. 15. In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond and Darryll make it a Chuck Norris birthday as they cover Hero and the Terror. Then Desmond goes solo on Walking the Dead before going over some great feedback. Things get dark here... very dark. Some tunes to brighten your listening experience: "The Hero" by Queen, "Experiment in Terror" by Fantomas, "The Walker" by Moistboyz, and "Close My Eyes" by Pain. [ 1:04:23 || 31.1 MB ]

  16. It's episode 20, bitches! We're sorry, that was rude. It's just that we're very excited about this milestone, what with the contest and everything. That's why we calm ourselves with discussion about animals in baseball caps, Skittles commercials, and various liquids. We then get to our top five favorite non-Squenix JRPGs. There's singing, there's prizes, probably even video game discussion. No promises. [ 1:56:28 || 53.6 MB ]
