  1. Back when cartoons were awesome.

Cartoons today are still pretty good. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Adventure Time, Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and Batman: The Brave & The Bold are all stand outs.

Regular Show and Archer are awesome too. And Phineas & Ferb and The Amazing World of Gumball are pretty inventive and fun, even if though they're definitely for a younger audience.

  2. I like that they let you skip action sequences if you fail them a couple of times. I’ve only taken them up on it once (I was supposed to tail a witness in my car, I kept getting spotted) but I was more than happy to do it.

  3. As someone who has no interest in Sucker Punch, I’m curious; was it actually fun? Because the whole idea of a young woman trapped in a mental institution who regresses into a fantasy world to escape from the world around her seems really depressing.

And hey, Tom is probably right about riling up fans. It’s stuff like this that helps keeps the mainstream comic world so insular though.

  4. Oh yeah, American Dad is fine. It’s the one thing he’s done that I enjoy. But even then, it’s not something that I can be bothered to watch regularly, and I have a hard time seeing him doing something worthwhile with The Flintstones. I have a hard time imagining anyone doing something worthwhile with The Flintstones.

  5. I've just discovered Sons of Anarchy... What Pakistani cave have I been living in to have missed this!?!

Oh man, was this on channel One a few nights back? I think I saw the same two episodes. I was surprised to find out those were actually the first two episodes of the show.

  6. I'd love to see a break down of countries, because I have no idea where that $241 came from. I'm not doubting it, I'm just curious as to the breakdown. It's down about $20-$30 in each of UK and Australia.

Here you go. Not sure if that’s every country or if it all adds up, but as far as I know it’s correct. And if those numbers are right, it grossed more money here in Australia than any other foreign country.

  7. That's the crazy thing. Everything about Orton screams douchebag. His whole fued with Punk showed this perfectly. And now he even has the perfect beard to go along with it.

But I don't know how they'd even go about making him heel.

  8. Nah, I'm more annoyed that Christian, after all that, only held the title for a couple of days. To lose it without any build up whatsoever just seems ridiculous to me. You could swap Orton for someone like Cody Rhodes, who I really like, and I'd still be annoyed. Randy is going to be pushed no matter what, but at least build up to something worthwhile rather than doing it like this.

Who knows, maybe they'll do something interesting with this in the next couple of weeks. I really doubt it though.

  9. Yeah, that really sucks.

I mean, I get it. From what I’ve heard, Vince doesn’t see Christian as a major star, and I never expected the guy to win the title until Del Rio was drafted to RAW and the situation changed even further. But holy fuck, why would you make him drop the belt that quickly, with no build up? He won a battle royal to fight against the guy who "took him out" last year and busted his ass to win a ladder match to get the title. And you're going to give the title to Orton, who has only just been drafted to Smackdown, just two days later? Even if they wanted to get the title off of Christian quickly, surely it couldn't have hurt to wait until the next PPV.

Honestly, I don't see why Orton even needs the title, but whatever. Sometimes I think people tend to be a bit too negative about the current state of the WWE, whereas I feel like things are -for the most part- actually pretty good right now. But this decision leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

  10. I'm sorry, Calvin Tucker's Redneck Jamboree is a modern masterpiece, and I'll hear nothing to the contrary.

I think Nintendo really just want to stay relevant the only way they know how; starting fresh with new hardware and a new software library. Does it suck for us? Sure. But Wii isn't top dog anymore, and I honestly don't know what they can do about that. Maybe they'll find a way to keep their next console going for ten years. Maybe it will be another five year cycle for them. Who knows?

  11. Bethesda is hiring QA testers.

There's zero chance I'm going to get the job, but I'm going to fucking try.

Good luck. Although I wonder how you'll feel about Bethesda after you've been told to play through the same portion of their game over and over and over and over again.
