  1. I think the Marvel/DC tournament's a great idea. I think it'd make more sense to have two seperate tournaments for heroes and villians, and then have the champs meet in a seperate versus, though. Most villians are really, really over-powered, requiring whole teams to beat them. So in the end, if say, Cyclops comes out of the Heroes bracket (yeah right) and Darkseid comes out of the Villians bracket, Darkseid smokes Cyclops, but Cy still gets to go home with the "Number 1 Hero" trophy. Otherwise, I think it'll end up being a NBA Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference type thing. But I'd definitely be down for something like that, and willing to help however.
  2. I change my mind about it a lot. I'll like it sometimes, and then other times they'll pull a "Alfred has to lecture Bruce", and it pisses me off. I don't like my Batmans making jokes or having fun and having their butlers tell them to get serious. I like my Batmans brooding and sad.
  3. Yo, I'd definitely throw some money up to get a CD of Justice League episodes.
  4. That's my favorite part, maybe my favorite part in either series. Flash: Whoa? Reveal our identities? I mean, I trust you guys and all, but.. Batman (pointing around): Wally West. Clark Kent...Bruce Wayne.
  5. I think with the conditions set down in the description, Cap can't really win. Cap's too tired, and he can't stop Bane's flow of Venom. So Bane would win. But I also think the set-up really overly favors Bane, too. It's well written and interesting, but I think it doesn't make it a true even fight. When I think of a versus situation, I kind of think of it like Super Smash Bros. Two people are picked up and brought to some random place, they fight, whoever's stronger wins. This set-up's really interesting, but it's giving Bane too much of an advantage off the bat. It might be how Bane would operate in "real life", but I still don't think it's a true fair fight to determine who's stronger.
  6. Damn right. I'm really glad I got to watch this episode... even though I've only seen around 3 episodes of the new run, I've loved them all.
  7. I LOVE THIS SHOW... and I never get to watch it, cause I'm never around on Saturday nights. I'm just praying they start airing it during the day on weekdays... I loved when Cartoon Network would show Justice League at like 5 on weekdays.

    Exiles

I've heard OF Exiles, but never read a copy. But I've been looking around on uncannyxmen.net lately, and this series looks really interesting. Superheroes from all different realities are brought together, and sent to different realities to fix events that would otherwise destroy the space-time continuum. It kinda reminds me of Sliders from what I'm reading. Is it worth getting into?
  9. Especially after this is what happened in the comic books, kinda. Scott left when Dark Phoenix killed herself on the moon.
  10. It said it in the title that it was a preview, so you probably should've read it a little closer. Haha, it's weird, I scanned it a few times after originally reading it and deciding to make that post to make sure that it didn't say that anywhere, and STILL missed it. In that context, it makes more sense. I'm looking forward to the review itself, though. I agree with a lot of your views on the franchise too, except the horror part. Scary movies actually scare me, so Resident Evil tends to, too.
  11. Yoda, I like your reviews and writing a lot. Which is why I was so surprised when I went to read what I thought was gonna be a review of Resident Evil 4, and got totally faked out. It was like the column equivilant of a bait and switch. Just seemed weird... I was expecting a review, and got "yeah I'm gonna review this soon".
  12. Seriously. I've been buying the TPBs, I'm up to the 4th one, which means I've read up to about issue 30 or so. And I'm not sure.. but I think he is. Some of my points may seem "stereotypical gay", but that's really all I have to go on, cause he hasn't really been outed as such. Now then.. - He's always dressed really, really nicely. - He's got a hoop earring in his right ear only, stereotypically a "gay sign". - When he went back to Russia, and Cyclops and Marvel Girl tried talking him into coming back, Colossus points out how alone he is in the group, saying "you don't even know my favorite show". Marvel Girl replies "Will and Grace". - Then, we come to my clincher. Marvel Girl then says that the reason Colossus left isn't that he's unenamored with Xavier's dream, she says "Maybe you just want the person you love to love you back a little?"... then Colossus throws them out. Now, at the time, we've already got the Cyclops/Wolverine/Marvel Girl thing going on, and Beast and Storm are going out, but Iceman's got a crush on Storm. So unless you want to have one of the two girls have THREE people who like them...then you add in the fact that Colossus and Wolverine spent a lot of time together late at night saving people... I dunno. Just wondering.
  13. Is the Ultimates something worth checking out? I've been buying the Ultimate X-Men collections and I like them for the most part (I think I'm just a mark for Kubert). I know the basic story for the Ultimates, but I never really liked the Avengers from what I've read... so is the Ultimates any good?
  14. Whatever happened to mutants being invulnerable to their own powers? Since when was that established? IE Wolverine has claws - if he cuts himself, he ain't invulnerable to it. Scott shoots energy beams, which, if reflected, hit him too. Same kind of thing. Gambit was charging a card, somebody shot it, and a fragment blew up in front of his eye. An explosion is an explosion is an explosion. I don't mind that. I do mind Magneto being back, and I do mind Phoenix coming back. Leave it for...say, five years, then do it. Bullshit and insulting to their readers to do this crap now. Oh, and Gambit is currently in Uncanny X-Men (The Chuck Austen one), walking around going 'What's going on, I can't see!' Nah but your examples aren't really true. Wolverine's adamantium claws aren't his mutation, so he wouldn't be immune to that. And doesn't the fact that Cyclops' eyelids aren't blown off by his beams prove he's invulnerable to them? I can accept the Gambit blowing his own eyes up theory though. He didn't charge them, he blew something up and that caused the injury. (If that's what happened...I don't know.)
  15. Gambit was blind? Huh? Yoda, explain, cause I know you'll know all about it.
  16. I loved that game. But Mega Man 2 wins.
  17. Yeah buddy. Add Jubilee to my list...Asian chicks are real hot.
  18. Because nobody dies, I think it's a draw. Wolverine's not going to fight to "disable". And I don't think Batman could disable Wolverine without knowing something about him in the first place. If you take out the "no one dies" part, I'd say Wolverine. If Batman knows something about Logan and has time to prepare, Batman, but Logan wouldn't die.
  19. I'll say Luke Cage, I forget where though.
  20. I think Cyclops should have been a lot more powerful than he is. I mean, I don't get how he can miss when he wants to shoot something. He's not pointing a gun, he's looking at things. How can you miss?
  21. I guess Marvel Girl could try and fling things at the other teammates, but like Yoda said, she wasn't all that adept with her powers at that point. I'm gonna go with Cyclops too. An interesting thought is who would win if it was modern day? Furry Beast, non-snowman Iceman, etc.
  22. Place - Danger Room Conditions - Back in the day, when all five were students at the Institute. Angel's still got the normal wings. Jean's still Marvel Girl. Beast doesn't have the hair. They're not fighting to the death, just kind of like a training exercise. Who'd come out on top?
