  1. "From Hell's heart I stab at thee" is Ahab's final cry to the white whale in Moby Dick. Please don't reference it as a Star Trek quote, it makes me sad.

I actually said "This is a quote that Khan used in Star Trek II". I am fully aware of its proper source, its just uncanny the manner in which it was used here.

    Whew. I get worried sometimes.

  2. Did El Nino happen again or what? There's fucking snow in Vancouver! This never happens!

Well Boo-frickity-Hoo, surely they can take a dump of snow for once in their lives

Cry me a frickin' river. I'm with Kellen on this. You can surely survive one snow dump. I just had to drive home in falling snow and ice fog. Tomorrow's forecast calls for rain, which means the roads will be as good as ice skating rinks. So you have no right to complain about one little snow dump.

It snows fucking annually in Vancouver, and every year every person in and out of Vancouver acts like it's never happened before.

And I'm from Calgary, I know what snow is, that's why I moved to Vancouver.

  3. I'm glad they've euthanized this chapter. I LOVE that Ando and Hiro got more time in the last episode, minus the "Hiro is 10" angle, they've been consistently the best part of the show for three seasons, and no one believed me until recently. With the exception of the useless and whiny as fuck Peter Petrelli, the non-powered characters, like Noah and Ando, (now Hiro) have been my favourite throughout the show's run. And hell, the Hiro as a 10 year old angle was cute, at least initially.

The last episode marked a big step in the right direction. Peter's powered up, Ando's got a power while Hiro loses his, The Company has to go underground and start saving powered people (like in season 1) and we've got Peter potentially squaring off with Nathan, which is just awesome. If the new writers come online early this chapter, it's got potential to be awesome.

  4. The other day at work two young (like 15-16 year old girls) walk by and I heard "so we were in his bedroom sitting on his bed, and he leaned in so I leaned in too. Then he kissed me and I was like Ewwww! You're my cousin".

I was laughing so hard I missed the next part.

  5. I went and jacked a middle-of the line car with really good handling, that wasn't super fast. It took me 3 or 4 tries, but with a decent car it's totally doable. Don't jump into the lead, as there are a few twists and turns that will totally fuck your car up, and there are normally a couple different ways to make up time.

  6. I really love this show. I thought season 2 was overall pretty good, and I, like all of you, hope Nathan sticks around. I'm really curious as to what Mrs. Petrelli's power is (though I think Yoda's partly correct, but there are certain elements of that hypothesis that don't quite fit). I think season 2 benefited from the writer's strike, as I don't believe dragging the plot out another 11 episodes would have helped the show-I thought that was part of season 1's downfall. You sort of knew what was going to happen 3 or 4 episodes before the finale, so when it happened it was kind of anticlimactic (but still cool).

I'm so glad Alejandro is dead because Maya is drop dead gorgeous. Call me biased, but I don't mind her character so much. The combination of Maya and Alejandro was terrible, but it's over. Maybe Maya could become a love interest for Suresh? I don't think that would be too bad. I'm kind of disappointed Niki AND DL are dead. I do like Monica, though, so it could prove to be an interesting storyline.

I also really like the angle with Bob and his daughter (whose name I forget). I think those two characters are really cool, and I like how Bob resides in this weird gray area. You're never sure what his motives are and what the hell is going on. I hope they explore what the hell the company is in this new season. Yeah, and I just read the last page, knowing what powers all of the founders had would be really cool.

Can someone explain what "Villains" is really quickly? I've seen it mentioned in this thread and am far too lazy to do any real research on it.

I edited this because I'm dyslexic.

  7. "Simular to humans each call is unique to that particular chimpanzee (I.E. A humans voice is unque to that paticular person)"

It's grammatically correct odd and there are spelling errors. "Similar," "unique," and "particular." You're also missing an apostrophe after "human" to signify the pluralization.

I just never use "IE" or "EX" in papers, as it tends to look messy. I think it's generally a better idea to use the longer forms of the words, rather than their contractions. I think I would word it like:

As is the case with human voices, each chimpanzee has a unique call.

    Also, it's spelled "grammar."
