I swear I think I owned that magazine at one point. I know I've seen it before.
-
Mike, was I right in thinking you raked the movie over the coals on Facebook?

I don't know if it's available in Canada, but Trifexis is the best anti-flea/anti-heartworm medicine I've ever bought. My two dogs have been taking it for years and I haven't seen a single flea on them since. And trust me, there's no shortage of them in this humid hellhole.

I'm truly sorry, man. Trust me, I know how fucking gut wrenching that is.
-
Basically. Well, Winter Soldier is still awesome.
-
Most of the reviews I've perused have basically said it has some great characters, but the script/plot is an absolute unfocused mess.

Happy birthday, sir!

Hell to the yeah.

I finally got an interview for a teaching position. Tomorrow at 8:30am, 4th grade. Fingers crossed...

Ah, Rob Liefeld. Your "ability" to randomly add a gun into a character's hand after the drawing was finished never ceases to cause facepalming.
-
It'll never be worth a shit until it gets a full reboot.

That has to be the most tedious thing I've ever seen. I might actually listen to a couple random parts of that out of sheer, morbid curiosity.

Several months ago, I made a page for us on TVTropes.org:
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Podcast/TranquilTirades
I'm working on it a little here and there, mainly in the quotes section as I go back and listen to old episodes.

Load by Metallica is 20 years old.

What I liked:
--Spider-Man: Holy hell, was he ever amazing. (Pun fully intended) The raw innocence and inexperience of his character, combined with the good-natured quipping made him the highlight of the movie for me.
--The airfield fight scene: The movie was worth the price of admission for this alone.
--Black Panther: I cannot wait to see where they take his character.
--Wanda and Vision: The teasing of their eventual relationship was well done.
--Ant-Man: I haven't seen Ant-Man yet, but now I want to. He was highly entertaining.What I didn't like:
--YOU KILLED [INSERT NAME HERE], IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT x 238792: Jesus Christ...can someone explain why they COMPLETELY glossed over the fact that every time the Avengers were in these huge battles that they were SAVING THE FUCKING WORLD??? What the fuck, did everyone have short-term memory loss (including Tony and Steve)? If it wasn't for the Avengers, none of them would be there right now. Period. Yes, people died. That's obvious. It's going to happen when massive citywide or country-wide battles occur. Would these people rather have been conquered/slaughtered by Loki or Ultron? That irked the everloving shit out of me the entire movie and it caused me to remove an entire star from my grade.
--This wasn't a "Captain America" movie. The first two in the Cap trilogy? Absofuckinglutely. But this one didn't focus on Cap enough to make it an actual Captain America film. There were too many things going on with Panther, Tony's guilt crisis, Vision/Wanda, Tony recruiting Spider-Man, on and on. Minor gripe, perhaps, but still annoying.
--Black Widow: Continuing the trend of just sticking her as a pseudo-love interest with another male character in lieu of actually doing anything noteworthy. What are the future prospects for this character?
--How did Tony live after the final battle? Steve shoved that shield straight into the arc reactor. He should be dead as hell. Especially given that they are out in the middle of Bumfuck, Siberia. Who rescued him?
--Isn't Bucky's arm vibranium? How did Tony blast the fucking thing off with an energy beam?Overall, I did enjoy it and I'll probably get the DVD. But it definitely had flaws, and I still say Winter Soldier blew it out of the water.

As someone who has worked Dragon*Con for 4 years now, I'm always grateful that they treat us so well. My department head is awesome.

I saw it last night. I'll post my deeper thoughts tomorrow after work. Short thoughts: I'd give it 2 and a half stars, probably.

QuickTime is still a thing?

Mysterio or Vulture.

Best of all, he's played by Shang Tsung.

Ah, that was fun. Got me through a couple excruciating hours after we closed tonight at my store.

I believe Steel is on the list for somewhere down the road (not in 2016), but other than, like, Son of the Mask, there is no movie I want to watch less than that. Just....ugh.

Uh...was Fooly Cooly really being clamored for that badly?
