  1. An article in UK's Times Online delves into the details of Tobey Maguire's deal to return for back-to-back 'Spider-Man' sequels. According to the report the actor stands to bank $50 million to film parts 4 and 5 of the franchise.

The article actually states that the $50 million figure is part salary and part profit sharing. 'Spider-Man 3' proved that the movies don't have to be good to make money, so Tobey is likely to rake in the full amount on the two films.

However, key to the deal was the allocation of "family time" to Maguire, who has a young daughter. Word is that shooting back-to-back films is a grueling process that takes its toll on the leading man . Keanu Reeves is cited in the article as being drained by the 'Matrix' movies.

The 'Spider Man 4 and 5' shoot is set for a six month period in 2009. Tobey will have "early mornings and evenings" off, according to the report.

The article also suggests that the Kirsten Dunst question will be settled this week.

To me, it's not worth giving him so much to keep Toby Maguire. They could get anyone in Hollywood to play that part for less money and time off. The movies would still make money without him.

What does it matter? Maguire should've fleeced them for more.

  2. So was this thing shit or not? I tried to catch it tonight and I only caught like the last 3 minutes which didn't exactly sell me on the whole tune in next week.

From what I can gather this new show has taken the 90s "Stars" and turned them into the wisdom giving adults and they've brought in a bunch of young horrible actors just horrid and have just thrown this shit at the wall and see what sticks. I myself can't wait for the "drug" episode where the good hearted people from the Midwest?, I don't even know where the fuck there from I'm guessing becauses the Walshs were from Minnesota so in the guise of "honoring"/stealing from the original, anyway I can't wait for the drug ep where the daughter gets corrupted into trying weed because all the cool kids are doing it in California. And then we'll deal with the minority having a run in with the racist police or maybe they'll put a new spin on it and make it racist teacher. I cannot wait.

This show has all the makings of train wreck tv. Bring back Steve Bring back Brandon bring em all back I say.

  3. Because it has to happen. What, you don't hear all the people screaming for it?

Nicolas Cage is known for not doing sequels, but that seems to be changing. National Treasure: Book of Secrets is the follow-up to the first hit Disney movie and he isn't stopping there.

Today he told Superhero Hype! that he would be interested in doing another Ghost Rider movie.

"All they have to do is call, and I would love to see that happen. That would be fun," Cage said.

Now why would he be so quick to jump on the sequel bandwagon now? Maybe it's the 228 million the first one made in the theater, or that the first National Treasure made 347 million at the box office. That would translate to a huge payday for him for the sequels. I know I would be making sequels for the rest of my career if it were me. National Treasure: Taft's Secret Golden Toilet.

That cannot be true. It just cant.

Also as for villians? Venom. Why not, if we are just gonna make shit up why the fuck not.

  4. Read it first. There is so much they will cut out that you will miss out on. Plus the subtle stuff in the artwork.

I didn't even like the book until after my second time reading it. I didn't get it the first time.

Actually I would recommend NOT reading it until after you see this movie. Because there is just no way in hell they are going to fit everything into the movie and they are going to leave shit out. So its better to go back and read what they left out and then complain about it.

  5. Kristen Bell (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, "Heroes," "Veronica Mars") will voice the leading female voice in Warner Bros.' CG-animated Astro Boy, coming to theaters next year.

She joins a voice cast that includes Nicolas Cage, Donald Sutherland, Bill Nighy, Nathan Lane, Eugene Levy and Freddie Highmore.

Set in futuristic Metro City, Imagi Studios' Astro Boy is about a young robot with incredible powers created by a brilliant scientist to replace the son he has lost. Unable to fulfill the grieving father's expectations, our hero embarks on a journey in search of acceptance, experiencing betrayal and a netherworld of robot gladiators, before he returns to save Metro City and reconcile with the man who had rejected him.

She must have really liked doing the voice work in Assassin's Creed. I always picture people hanging out in their underwear doing voice overs, which ironically is how I always picture Kristen Bell anyways.

So your going to picture Nathan Lane and Eugene Levy in their underwear then?

  6. Well, I'm going for Elm Street as Jason would only mess with you if you went near his camp, and you had a chance to survive. Just run away and change your name to Stan.

Freddy got you in your dreams which everyone has so he's more universal.

What? Jason would follow you into SPACE just so he could kill you, that is devotion to your craft.
