  1. , I want to say that Anti-Venom is a huge piece of crap. Did you read "The Last Temptation of Eddie Brock" from last year?
  2. The Fox/Warner Brothers legal battle is a GOOD thing
  3. You're half correct. O'Neil is writing a two parter after a two parter by Morrison, after the last issue of R.I.P. (which is written by Morrison).
  4. I absolutely loved Darwyn Cooke's run on The Spirit. I think he's one of the true masters working in comic books today and is one of the few creators whose work I'll buy whatever he does.
  5. ... You got a problem with Big Wolf on Campus? It was good at the time, but why would he be fighting supernatural criminals? Well they were more like supernatural beings who came to Pleasantville to cause mass chaos, but if you want an animal based reason for Tommy fighting them, think of it as him defending his territory.
  6. I meant CN's pre-Adult Swim glory.

    X-factor love

Oh shit, that's next weekend? Yep, the 27th and the 28th.

    X-factor love

I'm a big fan of Peter David and I still haven't read X-Factor, despite hearing good things all over. Part of it is that I'm not that big of an X-fan. I'll probably do some searching at Baltimore Comic Con next weekend and see if I can pick them up.
  10. With Toonami gone, there's also no trace left of CN's former glory.
  11. A link within the article to a report from a CN panel at Anime Weekend Atlanta cites low ratings.
  12. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-...toonami-tonight Haven't watched it in years, but I remember the good ol' days. Voltron...Thundercats...Gundam Wing...those weekday afternoons were the best.
  13. I concour, they were the ones that had the best resolutions come fall.
  14. Ah, but you forget that "Velocity" also had one positive: Pete Ross, Clark's best friend and a character I miss. True, his storyline had a logical resolution and showed Clark what could potentially happen to those who he told his secret, but I liked the Scooby gang of him, Clark, and Chloe. "Velocity" was also an episode where we saw a bit of jealousy towards Clark shine through, as Pete had found one thing where he was treated like #1 instead of #2. But Spirit had Clark saying "The crowns mine bitch" now that was one of the greatest lines that show ever wrote. Can we at least agree the show sucks at cliffhangers and paying them off in the next season? Their is one or two that made me want to see the next season, but overall if I hadn't bought the set already, I wouldn't have cared. I usually dig Smallville's season finales (except for 4 and 7), but yeah, often times the premiere is a bit down from the finale that preceeded it. And Kara can just stay gone as far as I'm concerned. I didn't think she brought much to the show other than being eye candy.
  15. That's probably mine, but Mike obviously gets this... I don't think I want to know what that 10 refers to.
  16. I think. I don't buy it. They said that it took a long time for Leslie to cure him and years of therapy after that. More than enough time for Bruce's head to clear past his grief.
  17. Return of the Joker. As much as I love RoTJ (and I'm going to use spoiler tags just in case, even though I'm sure everyone's seen it), there is one major gripe I have with it:
  18. Just finished reading Age of The Sentry #1. Like Des I was looking forward to this and was a little anxious after the IIWY review. I shold note that I went into this having not read anything involving the Sentry except for the Mighty Avengers arc and picked it up for its retro style. I enjoyed the second story more than the first and got a Golden Age DC feel from the first as well. The art for both stories fit the Silver Age look they were going for. I thought the cover before the second story was a nice touch, so were the retro styled Bullpen Bulletins page and the M.M.M.S mail away. That being said, I wish that the solicits on the page and the ads were for old Silver Age Marvel books, because reading a solicitation for an Agents of Atlas book due in 2009 or an Embrace Change ad did pull me out of the Silver Age style they were going for. Overall, I liked it enough to buy the rest of the issues, but I was a bit dissapointed.
  19. Last night's season premiere of Supernatural kicked ass, as does every episode. If you aren't watching Supernatural, grab the first season and become the latest fan of the show so good, you'll wonder why it's on the CW.
  20. Well, they say three times the charm, but on the other hand, I think being jerked around twice is a warning sign.
