  1. Is the Venom controlling you and making you team up with Sandman to take down Spider-Man by kidnapping Mary Jane Watson, after Spidey has already had a sub plot with each of you and the girl you kidnapped and his old friend (who for some reason turned into Green Goblin, but then later, for another odd reason, teamed up with Spidey to take you down)? If this is all true it is probably because a clusterfu... - I mean a Spider-Man 3 is invading your home. Please call the EARTH-2.NET hotline right away.

  2. I hate to say steal this idea from a person on another forum site discussing this, but I believe this would be a good idea and would made sense, is if they did a story arc in the comics outside of the Superman/Batman series, like Emperor Joker. The person who came up with this idea, had some good statements backing this idea up, like the fact that it would be a cool movie, with another great voice cast, it can be slightly tweaked to be an equal Superman and Batman movie, and it was drawn by Ed McGuiness, so there would be no troubles with animation.

  3. I'd prefer a universe with Superman as the first super hero, but have Batman have his year one like a couple years before, and maybe I would allow people like the Spy Smasher exist 70 years earlier. I do like the JSA, but Superman should be the first real "super hero", or at leas the first one with super powers.

  4. Thor: Son of Asgard is an animated movie which will be released directly to DVD and Blu-Ray in fall 2009.

  6. Showcase will be a series of short-films. The first one announced is to be based on Jonah Hex. It is unknown as to how these shorts will be released.

Beginning in 2010, DC Comics characters will be bursting onto the screen in their own animated shorts, slated to appear home video (and possibly broadcast television). Keep an eye on this thread for the latest DC Universe Animated Shorts project updates!

DC Comics proved Internet rumors of a "Jonah Hex" animated short film to be well founded during their "Superman/Batman: Public Enemies" panel on Friday at Comic-Con. The publisher's resident ugly cowboy already has a heightened profile this year due to Jimmy Hayward's upcoming feature film starring Josh Brolin and Megan Fox, and it appears that Hex's expanded spotlight was enough to earn him slot among Warner Home Video's newly announced -- but still secret -- lineup of animated projects.

Warner Premiere, Warner Bros. Animation, Warner Home Video and DC Comics are in fact preparing new animated shorts, DC Comics Senior Vice President of Creative Affairs Gregory Noveck said at the panel. He explained that while DC and Warner Bros. were not ready to reveal further details, he could confirm "Jonah Hex" as being among a series of animated shorts being produced and that Joe R. Lansdale would be writing it.

The "DC Showcase" animated shorts will be a new offering from the same groups responsible for "Superman/Batman: Public Enemies," as well as "Green Lantern: First Flight," which premiered at Comic-Con over the weekend. The revelation begs the question of just how a the new series of shorts will be distributed with the quicker runtime than their predecessors, as well as how long that runtime will be and which other DC properties will be thrown into the mix.

Hex has appeared previously in "Batman: The Animated Series," "Justice League Unlimited" and "Batman: The Brave and the Bold," but this will be his first cartoon solo outing.

  7. Mania reports that Warner Premiere is so happy with the performance of the home video release of Superman/Batman: Public Enemies that WP are looking into a sequel or even sequels to come out of their highly-successful direct-to-dvd home animated movies slate of projects.

More than likely it will look for one of the great subsequent story lines from the Jeph Loeb comics series, but all the details are sketchy at best for 'Superman/Batman 2'. Still it's amazing news.

Story could be the timeline twisting "Absolute Power" or the ultimate Maximus alternate-reality bending "With a Vengeance". Or many of the other great stories from Loeb's comic series that could come to animated life, we will have to wait and see.

  8. Is COD 5 any good? Because after I played COD 4 Modern Warfare (awesome game), I didn't think that any other FPSs could be any better if they are in WW2 era. I am so glad COD Modern Warfare 2 is coming. And guess what, I haven't owned a 360 for like a year and half because I sold my old one, and now I am thinking about buying the one that is coming with the Modern Warfare 2.

  9. I found this thread on Animation Insider, its mostly news for Season 2. Most of it people probably already know but there is some interesting stuff and exact information on some things.

    Greg Weisman writes an episode

The musical episode, "Mayhem of the Music Meister!" features Grodd, Clock King, Black Manta, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Aquaman, and Music Meister voiced by Neil Patrick Harris.

The series has been renewed for 26 episodes, making the current total 52

Armin Shimmerman will voice one of the Guardians of the Universe and one other character that is unrevealed

When OMAC Attacks! features OMAC, Shrapnel, and Equinox.

The final four episodes of the season will air sometime in the fall.

Billy Batson will be voiced by Tara Strong and Captain Marvel by Jeff Bennett. Kevin Michael Richardson, Tom Everett Scott, John DiMaggio, Diedrich Bader, Tyler James Williams, Billy West, and Cree Summer were also present.

Batman will don a scarf in a World War II episode featuring Enemy Ace, Haunted Tank, GI Robot will appear.

    Aquaman will return

New characters to appear are Detective Chimp, Vixen, Captain Marvel and the whole Marvel family, Viking Prince, Firestorm, Metal Men, Doom Patrol, B'wanna Beast, Black Orchid, Monsieur Mallah, and Starro

Discussions are taking place to use Superman and Wonder Woman

In "Chill of the Night!", Martha Wayne (Voiced by Julie Newman), Phantom Stranger (Voiced by Kevin Conroy), Spectre (Voiced by Mark Hamill), and Thomas Wayne (Voiced by Adam West) will appear and the episode will give closure to Batman

Tyler James Williams will voice Firestorm.

  10. In the same episode, Richie almost knew that Batman was Bruce Wayne, when Static said "How does Batman do this?" Static said he didn't know about Batman's identity just to fool him. In Future Shock, Gear/Richie is in the Batcave. How did he know where the Cave was? Virgil knew Batman was Bruce Wayne at the end of Tough as Nails, when Alfred and Bruce went to the hospital. Static first saw Alfred pull some thorns from him in the Cave.

Well "Future Shock" is after "A League Of Their Own", so Bats does know about Gear. And you could just say Batman got Richie into the cave like he did with Virgil when he got him out in "Hard As Nails". I think Batman found Richie so he could bring static back to the present day time, I don't think they called Richie and said that he should come over to the cave and fix Timecode's machine.

  11. My LCS is having a sale of everything 25% off, like I said in the Good news thread. I have tons of issues on hold at the store. If was able to get to the store today I would be able to clear my holds and buy all those comics for 25% percent off, plus I would be able to get those an extra 10% off for being a member at my LCS. All these comics that I have on hold for 35% off, each with a bag an board, but no. By the end of the month the guy there will have to shelve all of them. My bad news is that I was too busy this weekend to go to my LCS and clear my holds for a very good deal, and maybe get other stuff for 25% off, like trades or something. This sale is ending tomorrow, and I know I am too busy to go to the store, it just sucks. I am usually not this busy, Why did they have to have this sale this weekend?!
