  1. “It’s simply the darkest Batman movie we’ve made yet, and that’s including Mask of the Phantasm and Return of the Joker,” offers producer Bruce Timm, who has been involved in Batman’s 2D world since the 1990s’ Batman: The Animated Series. “This is a really gritty, pretty darkly emotional story, and if it all comes together as I’m expecting it will, it’s going to be something really special.”

  2. THIS POST MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS.

    I'm ten minutes in.

The humor in this movie is nothing but shit. i mean there were a couple quips by the Flash I liked (Also, BATMAN ATE FLASH'S PRETZEL! fuck yeah), but the rest of the humorous dialogue was annoying. I don't really like how the League quickly guessed everything about this other Luthor, I love what Superman did, but with Flash's prediction on top, it just went too far.

    Jester (Joker?) is fucking awesome.

Luthor's arrival to Metropolis is fun until Flash's line in the watchtower.

Voice actors I'm liking and not liking (I don't know their names):

    Liking:

    Jester

    Superman

Flash (although Michael Rosenbaum is still the definitive Flash)

    J'onn

    Not liking:

    Luthor

Batman (Baldwin did better in The New Frontier, although that's coming from me only hearing one line from him in this movie so far.)

    I'm unsure about Wonder Woman

  3. Wait, did Tim Daly do the voice of Clark Kent?

And, by the way this episode is awesome. Except that I question how Matches Malone is able to do business in space, and why Matches totally revealed his other identity (Batman, not talking about Bruce/bats thing), and he changed costumes the wrong way, I was hoping we would see Bruce's face.

  4. -Haven't we had a thread like this three times?

-Keep in mind, that Nolan isn't leaving year One, so Catwoman, mobsters, Riddler, and Penguin are all okay. i don't even know if robin is ready to come. Two-face and joker shouldn't be seen again, only referenced maybe. I don't see the justice league coming right after this Batman year one franchise, at least not with the same actor or continuity, anyways isn't the start of the justice league more around the time of robin?.

-Superman and batman movie i wouldn't mind.

  5. Batman the Brave And The Bold Volume 1, just a bunch of fun.

(Batman becomes the president, and Green Arrow become his body guard)

Justice League Cry For Justice #6, I guess JLA #38 ha snow been explained to me a little better, but when you come to think of it, JLA #38 spoiled this issue, and it was one or maybe even two months released before. Well, this issue was awesome. Its all fighting, but the awesome art makes it cool. Its with a bunch of the Justice Leaguers, luckily there are also some unanswered questions at the end.

Gotham city sirens #8, nothing great about this.

Joe The Barbarian #1, i may as well post like Mike and Des by saying my thoughts are what they said in earth-2.net the show. I love this book.

Suicide squad #67 and Secret six #17, I'm sort of disappointed in this arc so far, thats if it has already ended, im not even sure, i feel like I have forgotten everything that has happened in this book already.

The Brave And The Bold #31, dumb book. I dont care what JMS believes is Jokers life story. Even if this is not canon. All I can give this book is that its a cool cover. But not even that great of interior art.

    Trade Paperbacks: 2

    Comic Books: 19

  6. Does this cover look like crap because of the story?

    bnr12_02.jpg

I don't really know why the story would cause the cover to be of lower quality, but I agree, easily the worst cover of the series.

Well, I was just wondering why Batman looks like a stitched up zombie in a Batman costume, I haven't read any of this story arc, so I don't even know why all these covers show them fighting each other. But no need to spoil anything for me.

I have the issues but really liked the mini.

Also, is it just me, or does that not seem like much, I mean sure, we're seeing the start of the second feature trades, but really, I thought I'd be getting more.

They should of just thrown in the other tie-ins that are collected in the Battle For The Cowl Companion, but I'm still getting this book because I'm a big Tony Daniel fan.

  9. New Batman DVD to peek out from 'Under the Red Hood'

    February 9, 2010 | 6:40 pm

Plenty of of fanboys are anticipating the new Justice League DVD "Crisis on Two Earths," which premieres on Feb. 23, but that disc will also give birth to a new DC must-see home movie when the Dark Knight saga "Batman: Under the Red Hood" launches one of its first promos.

    picture3bx.jpg

Written by Judd Winick and based on his 2005 Batman comics story line, it's Batman versus another vigilante, Red Hood, who doesn't mind cleaning up Gotham by leaving dead bodies in his wake. Animated guru Bruce Timm exec produces this pretty violent look into crime on the streets, and it's directed by "Superman Doomsday" co-director Brandon Vietti, with a cavalcade of stars as voice talent. It all starts with Bruce Greenwood ("Star Trek") as Batman, then continues with "Supernatural" star Jensen Ackles as Red Hood, Neil Patrick Harris ("How I Met Your Mother") as Nightwing, John DiMaggio ("Futurama") as the Joker and Jason Isaacs (the Harry Potter films) as Ra's Al Ghul.

This was one of the most popular story lines to come out of Batman in recent history. Will you watch?

EDIT: Weird, this article is also saying "Under The Red Hood".

  10. I played a lot more Modern Warfare 2 last night. For a good 45 minutes, I played free-for-all and stopped boosters from cheating their way to nukes/victories. I must have stopped the same group of douchebags at least 6 times. SitRep is a beautiful thing.

Its fun shooting at those people through thin walls. Just gotta get sitrep and an L86 LSW and semtex nades. I have actually gotten the most kills before on free-for-all by just killing nuke boosters.

  11. Well, it depends. Are you looking for trades, or are you interested in buying comics monthly out of some recent series? Or are you just curious about what is going on with DC and Marvel right now?

Also, what comics did you like before? Or what are you interested in getting into?
